I have the ringke fusion and i dont think it will do anything to protect the phone if it fell face first. Very simple experiment, dropping it just 10-20cm face first also will hear the sound of glass impacting the surface.

Main problem is lips on the sides are too soft and small, too easily dislodged on impact

The spigen neo hybrid have the hard plastic frame to hold the tpu in place when dropped and the crystal shell have that bumper around the corner that's not just bump protection but the shape makes the case hold firmer to the phone.

One tell tale sign is how easy it is remove the case from phone. The easier it is, the easier it is also for a drop to unseat the case.

Since u have the fusion, try it yourself. Drop it face first on a flat wooden table and feel/hear how tpu vs table sound like, then drop it progressively higher.
