I always immediately update all my phones to latest firmware once is available. For some I even flash foreign country versions if is available earlier
I don't have worries about any issues
Just downgrade back if one doesn't like it
Most comments on updates are often mixed n I only trust my own assessment

Samsung doesn't bother who the owner is. You don't even need to show proof of purchase. They identify phone status n warranty in their system through phone serial number

Isn't that an automatic feature of all smartphone that data ( except enabled thro wifi) will disconnect once a call is made or received through GSM?

It is rare Samsung will swap a new phone if it can be repair

I changed my S6e motherboard previously and IMEI remains the same. I countercheck and was told motherboard was definitely changed

I had successfully claim warranty on Note n S6e ( motherboard change) with Knox tripped
You must fully unroot phone n have device status back to official not custom
I don't know whether I was lucky ? According to my phone dealer they don't bother about knox tripped?
And I am not the only one who had reported successful claims.

If you had been following this thread you would know many users had installed that. I recall the price is around in the region of rm160?? N is sort of unlimited warranty n some had even gone back 2-3 times to replace it free

I don't find the Edge annoying. Given a choice I will always choose the s7E over the edgeless S7
Well if you are concerned about SP, than is a non issue for me as I don't believe in using any SP on the phone
I will avoid installing such stuffs on the phone as much as possible. Only the Xperia series I applied a SP due to its easily scratch-able anti shatter film

Odin is software to flash official rom
It will not root your phone
If phone is rooted it will unroot it
If you are concerned about warranty flash Msian version of firmware
Samsung center can flash for you free under warranty

Sadly it is mere perception SD chipset are better. Even on my previous Note 5, the local Exynos version performs generally better, and had better battery life vs my other Spore set ( Snapdragon)

SOT - my record is consistently 7-8 hours with mainly Internet based stuffs with no gaming. I must say the S7e has best battery life amongst all the Galaxy N Note series ( n I had used them all)
Most remarkable the phone doesn't warm up easily unlike the HTC 10.

S7e doesn't feel warm as Note5 n has better battery life too
