it's just the look.. nothing difference and the edge thingy isn't that useful anyway.
had a chance to see both S7 and S7e when i was in Singapore and my take would be S7e for the looks

if you're getting a case anyway, then S7e should be ok..
if you intend to use it naked, then you would have a problem especially during 1-handed operation.

depending on some angle, it looks bad especially with white background.
