I am pretty sure samsung service center can write imei number on new board. There had been lots of cases of people going for warranty for Samsung devices that changes board but imei remains. Imei is just data on the efs partition that can be changed with the correct hardware and software.

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ May 4 2016, 12:47 PM) I'm looking if different chargers heat up the phone differently and their charge rate. I was hesitant about using wireless charging previously due to heat concerns. But so far I'm seeing that charging via USB with original charger (fast charge disabled) raises the battery temperature by 4 degrees, the cheapo bamboo wireless charger raised the temperature by 6 degrees while Samsung's fast charger only raised the temperature by 1 degree. The original fast charge adapter that comes with the phone is exceptionally cool. I can get you data on the choetech wireless and direct with choetech adapter later at home if you want.

QUOTE(aleluya @ May 4 2016, 01:09 PM) Just wondering if anyone rooted their phone? How does Malaysia's warranty cover? Must be knox untripped? Let's just say they have the right to deny you warranty with knox trip. They may not, but they can.

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ May 4 2016, 10:49 PM) Thanks. I think can conclude that a good wireless charger dont heat up the battery more than wired charging di. Don't think wireless charger will have heat issue to the battery cos its slower. Choetech also have limit of surface temp of 45C. I think it will slow down if the temp exceed it.

QUOTE(jonathan_k @ May 5 2016, 03:22 PM) Does your charging ampere fluctuant? mine goes up to 1000mA then always drop to 60mA. I think it fluctuates but i did not really monitor it. Charging generates heat and this will effect the rate. I believe the charger will slow down the rate when it gets too hot. Edit: BTW what adapter you using with the wireless charger? QUOTE(jerryhean @ May 6 2016, 07:12 AM) Normal usage like others I guess, fb, whatsapp, spotify, youtube, browsing etc etc, but I don't play games. Brightness auto, WiFi/4G always on, Bluetooth off as I don't pair anything. Since you just got your phone, what you can do is let it drain all to 0 then charge to full 100%, do this at least once. You should not be letting li ion battery drain to 0. It might spoil the battery.

Every user use their phone differently. So SOT will differ depends on your needs. As long as the phone last u through the day it should be sufficient. We buy the phone to enjoy it and not to look at the battery life.
For myself i only monitor battery a few days. Once satisfied with what I am getting I just charge whenever and use it as i like without being bothered by the battery life.
S7E definitely have superb battery life. Was considering buying a new power bank but that plan was scrapped. I don't see any need for PB unless going vacation/travelling.
