First time posting a movie review, and I have to agree with you guys.

Spoiler for cons, as I was a comic fan and collector in 90s up till the clone wars.

Coming from a comic perspective:

If you're a comic fan, you must disassociate the comic from the movie and watch it as a stand-alone movie, with nothing related to the comics. Take the movie's iteration of Spidey as a completely different Spidey.

I found it to be just ok only. So far, none of the Spidey movies tick all the boxes for me.

TBH, this is MCU after all with C as the abbreviation for "Cinematics". With MCU nearing a decade old, I think fans should be aware by now that there WILL be a lot of divergence from these heroes' comic origin.

While I don't tout this as the perfect Spider-Man movie, I think it is definitely better than going the old Uncle-Ben-got-shot-because-of-me path & along with that, some changes here & there which is definitely a welcome change, at least to me.

Just wanna add that this is fanmade, not the official movie theme.

Lose interest during the final fight with vulture cause there's no difference from any of the aerial fights you've seen many times with Green Goblin before. Surprisingly the villain turns out a little better than the usual but still far behind Doc Ock from Raimi.Tom Holland pretty much the best spidey to date only that I want the classic villain that put him into paces like Kraven.

This. The aerial fight camera shake is way too much. Coupled with the camouflage lights on the plane & it's hard to make out what's really happening. sad.gif

Think Sam Raimi 2nd Spidey still speaks volume to me because it just that classic villain wrecking havoc on Spidey while this one only so-so. Not brutal enough...then again this is still Marvel we talking about. Just don't get it why they keep holding back on villain portrayal.

And yes, as much as I like Vulture for being a memorable antagonist compared to the last few MCU villains, I think it's going to be hard to top Raimi's Doc Ock.
