First time posting a movie review, and I have to agree with you guys.
Spoiler for cons, as I was a comic fan and collector in 90s up till the clone wars.
Coming from a comic perspective:
If you're a comic fan, you must disassociate the comic from the movie and watch it as a stand-alone movie, with nothing related to the comics. Take the movie's iteration of Spidey as a completely different Spidey.
I found it to be just ok only. So far, none of the Spidey movies tick all the boxes for me.
TBH, this is MCU after all with C as the abbreviation for "Cinematics". With MCU nearing a decade old, I think fans should be aware by now that there WILL be a lot of divergence from these heroes' comic origin.Spoiler for cons, as I was a comic fan and collector in 90s up till the clone wars.

While I don't tout this as the perfect Spider-Man movie, I think it is definitely better than going the old Uncle-Ben-got-shot-because-of-me path & along with that, some changes here & there which is definitely a welcome change, at least to me.
