QUOTE(machoez @ Jul 10 2016, 10:48 PM) hi. wta anyone here have any problem connecting external hard disk to this laptop? cos i have to reboot my macbook each time i want to connect the ext hdd to the macbook. or it wont detect the ext. right now im using a third party cable from yoobao usb micro b to usb type c. you guys have any solution for it. thank you I normally use the Minix USB-C hub when travelling around and need connection to the external HDD. Alternatively, you can attach the notebook to a monitor (which support USB-C) and you can use the USB hubs on the monitor. Some third party cables work fine ... it's all down to luck

I think it's going to be costly to replace every single one of these devices to the 2nd gen ... not really worth it
Might be better to just carry the batteries since you can recharge them anyway This post has been edited by sookk: Jul 27 2016, 09:48 AM

QUOTE(stevenlee @ Jul 27 2016, 01:11 PM) bro, is the LCD that u using is the latest from ACER come with USB C connection? where you get it? and how much it cost? Yup ... Acer H277HU ... bought it from Harvey Norman (on the first day it was released) .. http://www.harveynorman.com.my/computers-a...white-gold.htmlThey are selling at RM 2299 The USB-C cable that comes with the monitor is simply HORRIBLE. So low quality ... very easy to spoil. Mine is already spoiled and Acer cannot even get a replacement for you because there is no stock available. I suggest you invest in some better quality USB-C to USB-C cable if you ever want to use this monitor. Here, I use the Innergie USB-C to USB-C .... much much better than the Acer one.
And the best thing is the other USB stuff I can connect to the monitor and it will be linked to my MacBook via the USB-C cable. So I extended the USB further with a J5Create USB-Hub.

QUOTE(Decky @ Aug 1 2016, 07:52 PM) Hey guys, where do you all buy your adapters (tried some Machines store and couldn't find any) and accessories? They keyboard is actually pretty good but I'm getting a lot of oil on it because of my fingers. and wow I really love the m7 performance. It handles RAW files almost as well as my windows desktop on lightroom (for applying heavy presets) The best adapter so far isn't made by Apple .... personally, if you ask me ... Apple adapters are overpriced and not very functional .... try getting this: http://minix.com.hk/en/products/neo-c-usb-...ltiport-adapterI believe if you search for it, you can find someone selling it. It has more ports (ports that you will need) and much cheaper than getting the Apple adapter.

QUOTE(chewlf @ Aug 31 2016, 11:25 PM) Got this MB at last. Coming from MB Pro 2009 with slower processor, this is considered well performed for my usage. Really like the retina display. It is so sharp and the text is so crispy. Plan to get some accessories for it. Where do you guys get the adapter that have multiple port? Any local seller? You can try searching the local marketplace for "Minix USB-C" ... using that at the moment and it's pretty consistent use ... No problems whatsoever with it. Comes with 2 USB port, another USB-C port for charging, VGA OR HDMI (depending on the model you buy), a 100 MBps network port (need to download driver for this) and a SD and Micro SD card reader ... well worth the $$$ compared to the Apple one. Been busy wrapping my macbook recently using Slickwraps ... the carbon fiber series are damn cool!

However, you should wait for their major discounts .... some times they give up to 45/50% discount. Sign up for their newsletter to be informed when there are discounts.
