QUOTE Following record-breaking sales, Ubisoft is already developing a movie based on its video game “Tom Clancy’s the Division,” and now looks to have an A-list star to lead the film. Sources tell Variety that Jake Gyllenhaal is attached to star in the pic based on the hit video game that has already become Ubisoft’s fastest-selling product. Gyllenhaal is also attached as a producer, and the studio is currently looking for a writer to pen the adaptation. Ubisoft could not be reached for comment. Developed and published by Ubisoft, with assistance from Red Storm Entertainment, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the third-person shooter is set in a dystopian New York City in the aftermath of a smallpox pandemic. The player, who is an agent of the Strategic Homeland Division, commonly referred to as simply “The Division,” is tasked with helping to rebuild the Division’s operations in Manhattan, investigating the nature of the outbreak and combating criminal activity in its wake. |

QUOTE As far as player numbers, there was a fairly quick mass exodus in both interest and bodies once the new factor wore off. However, Ubisoft say that their post-release plans have seen it return to the same active user counts they enjoyed on launch. http://www.pcgamesn.com/tom-clancys-the-di...-count-patch-14 |

QUOTE This patch will also activate DirectX12 which should provide better optimization for higher resolutions. Please note that there is a known issue with DirectX12 where you are not able to change the brightness. http://steamcommunity.com/games/365590/ann...553355750161129 Most interesting, DX12 support |

![]() QUOTE In Expansion III: Last Stand, we’re adding new ways to compete with other players and a new way to experience the Dark Zone, in a brand new separate game mode! Compared to the open and unstructured nature of the Dark Zone you’ll find in the game right now, Last Stand is session based and features clear objectives and win conditions, while still incorporating aspects of the Dark Zone such as PvE enemies and Landmarks. Last Stand will also be open to Season Pass holders on the upcoming Public Test Server ahead of its official release and we want to hear your thoughts and feedback, so please join us on our PTS forums – that’ll become available at the same time as the PTS - to discuss your impressions of the expansion. Expansion III: Last Stand will also include a new Incursion, which will be available on the PTS and that we’ll talk about in more detail in the future. The expansion is not all that’s coming to The Division! The free Update 1.6, which is one of the biggest updates we’ve ever done, is coming at the same time as Last Stand and we’ll have a lot more information about it for you very soon. ![]() QUOTE With Last Stand, we’re introducing a new progression system similar to Underground. As you play you will gain special experience points and gain Last Stand ranks, up to a maximum of 40. Each rank you attain will reward you with a sealed cache of items, and at certain set milestones during progression you will unlock exclusive vanity items that cannot be found anywhere else in the game – the mode comes with two unique, full vanity sets and two sets of weapon skins. At the same time, even after you hit maximum rank you’ll keep earning Last Stand experience and getting new caches – just like in Underground and how Field Proficiency works. Last Stand ranks do not work as Dark Zone ranks, so you can never lose them. They are also taken into account when matchmaking. You will get extra rewards every time your team wins, but over the course of a match we track more than 30 actions you might perform. Once the match wraps up, you will be ranked according to how you did, similar to how it works in Survival, and you’ll be rewarded accordingly. All rewards are given out at the end of the match, so you have to see the whole thing through to get them. |

QUOTE Today, the publisher announced that the film will be written and directed by Stephen Gaghan, who won a Golden Globe and an Academy Award in 2001 as the screenwriter for Traffic, and was nominated for a second Oscar in 2006 for his work on Syriana. “I’m excited to work with Ubisoft Motion Pictures and collaborate with their team at Massive Entertainment to bring The Division to the big screen, they’re great guys, exceptionally creative, and willing to take risks,” Gaghan said. “The game has been an enormous success, in large part due to the visual landscape they created, their vision of a mid-apocalyptic Manhattan. It’s immersive, wonderfully strange, and yet familiar, filled with possibilities. It’s also remarkable to be able to collaborate with Jessica Chastain and Jake Gyllenhaal early in the process. We all feel the story Ubisoft created is more relevant than ever.” |

QUOTE Will Premium Credits provide a competitive advantage and unbalance the game? No. We want to preserve a fair game environment and would not allow for players to get any form of competitive advantage based on money they spent on Premium Credits. |

QUOTE Maintenance will take place on Feb 8th from 4am until 8am EST which will impact our online features and services. During this time players may experience disconnection from the multiplayer portions of their games and from Uplay PC and the inability to reconnect to them or to other online features, services, forums and websites. (Single player and offline play should still be available). We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding as we work to improve our infrastructure and ensure the best possible experience for players. The scheduled maintenance started around 5pm GMT+8 till 9pm GMT+8. We probably can log into Uplay, but game servers may be affected during the period. |
