what interested me is this. if it's the pakkan why different name? and is it droppable now? or is it like the historian pushed back until a different patch ? or are they both coming live in the upcoming patch that resolves apc issues?
excellent clarification. basically....  can dump scavenging altogether, and just get more useful stuff like

- exotic dmg resilience (i'm particularly now focused on this stat if i'm gonna drop scavenging) (PVE & PVP)
- elite protection (PVE)
- elite dmg (PVE)
- armor dmg  (PVE)
i feel that it's a shame that scavenging is so useless..... i feel that they should in addition give scavenging the ability to increase more ammo drops from kills NPC and players. this way people can sustain ammo using scavenging ontop of some decon mats outside DZ (seeing as people will be deconing HEs that easy to come by in the DZ). then scavenging will not be totally irrelevant.
but is this right though?

but i thought roaming bosses like bullet king don't reappear once you've killed them once. which if i recall was their solution to infinite farming to begin with. so does that mean you have to kill this 1 time only boss in your game, then go to a friends game who hasn't done it and killed theirs ? or how does that work  i already got a cad but still interesting to know.
i've seen set item drop before. as for weapons i've seen it either be 160 or 180 ish item level when farming dz. haven't seen a 204 drop yet... other than the plans you can purchase from dz.
this might be the case, some some chal missions are simply easier/faster than others. but i guess people will still detour to the ones that drop the specific set items. for me i'll be focusing on the sentry and striker set gloves which i need to complete my set.
but as for equal drop on all 6 weapon types in any of the mission chal bosses, i find that a bit hard to believe. becauz during the hornet times i hadn't seen a single smg drop once. or maybe they changed things since then? 
also though M1A HE may drop in mission named bosses or in dz, the best method for it is the crafted plans bought from the DZ that had been phased out on restock. Simply because it's a 100% guarantee on the max weapon level.

As for smg, theres also the reliable aug max crafted, or if you missed out on that the first wave vector.
