@lowya Heres 1 trade i just went short..

[attachmentid=7487182]

GOLD Rallied on NFP.
I was waiting for GOLD to test 1347.70 and wait for the price action to short from that level 618.
[attachmentid=7487250]

Now i entered short as Price action shows 1347.70 is a good resistance level and a Doji formed. on 4H chart.

But please trade based on your own analaysis if any1 was about to take this trade. Nobody can predict the future movement of the market. THis is is just based on my own chart analysis on D1 chart and entry based on 4H. Any suggestions are welcome biggrin.gif  thumbup.gif

Yeah I got this one! Getting a hang of recognizing patterns, although I'm still stupidly impulsive sometimes.

Anyway, thanks 4len! Reading your post helped me buck up and read the market better.

Currently just looking at the EURJPY chart, while trying to commit more understanding of it into memory.

(the pattern recognition master m4ql is helping too!)

It's gonna be a volatile month? Damnit.

I'm actually starting out with a 100 dollar account and trying to make a respectable profit by the end of the month before I really go into Forex for real.

Currently, targetting a 10-15 USD profit. Is that too high?

5% R/R Ratio would be a good idea. DOnt think volatility is a bad news... but if u trade properly in a good way.. it could be very profitable. U need to know when to enter the market so that u wouldnt have so much drawdown. For example.. when market is alrdy showing a bearish/bullish trend, wait till it pull back and on the 2nd wave is the right moment to enter and set your trailing stop.

Haha, not that it's bad news, but it's like going into a hard difficulty level now

Definitely getting more prepared now, have been reading the outlooks for tips this week. What's the best place for the most dependable Forex based advice?

Decided to take off all my orders offline. Made a respectable 7 dollars (lol) in total. Understanding that a volatile market can be good if made with the right insight and patience so now... just waiting for all the respective news to emerge before making my next move.

Also, I've heard that news about Euro is to be positive later this afternoon. What do you guys think?

I dont usually use SL.. coz for nowdays market.. traditional SL dont work anymore.. BUt for NZD USD i can set as SL 50 pips.
As for EU i need to use the Fib levels to identify my TP n SL . or u can use the resistance as your SL.

MY idea for EU is wait for the breakout and then wait for pullback. After that enter short.

Thanks!

I'm actually using XM, is that not good? Got them because I can try out Forex at a micro account.

Which should I go for when I want to go for a standard account? One that has easy withdraw and deposit access back to Malaysia.
