Any Micro accounts user on XM?

I could open positions (gold/silver MICRO) at 0.5 but not at 1.0 onwards (insufficient funds). How come ah?

I've already deposited EUR50.

It's 1:10 at the moment. Maybe it could be the reason why it has been restricted to less than 1 micro lot.

Ya lo. But I have 0.1 silver long opened at 17.664 and luckily due to the leverage, the loss (-1.55) is still tolerable

I'll slowly increase my leverage once I have recovered my principle sum first.

Start from 1:10.

Don't be discouraged by the cents you make or lose.

Once you get the hang of it, slowly increase to 20, followed by 50.

As an XM user myself, I set mine to 1:50, and opening a 1.50 lot usually goes from tens of cents to dollars (either profits or losses).

Pip means price interest point = amount of "movement" in an exchanged currency pair.

So let's say if a currency pair @ 1.9283 goes up by 5 pips, it would be 1.9288.

Basically what he meant is 2 pips = 2 cents.

I get it that lower leverage means you have to fork out more but on platforms like MT4 and with certain brokers, you could just deposit a minimum of $30 and get started right away with 0.01 lot.

Or maybe I could have missed out on something?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but does your statement mean that higher leverage allows me to open more positions, albeit with higher profits/loss magnification per trade?

XM is one of the decent brokers out there. I have withdrawed my profits to my DC without any problems.

I'm using a Micro, so I withdrawed €10 and €5 only as I want to reserve the remaining for the free margin.
