Last time it's 10 cents per min but they charge in 3 min blocks, so min is 30 cents. In a way it's good if you call under 1 min, bad if it's over, lol.

Any Celcom sifu around? Prepaid user here and I seem to be getting credit "makan" a few times. I perasan sikit sikit that sometimes balance different, but today I notice I lost RM1.50 since last week and didn't use phone at all for over a week now.
Checked their online self customer sevice thing... no calls, no sms, etc, as I expected, but finally found it, listed as "Service Charge"... and not the first time too. I already sent a dispute/report and also send an AMA on FB. Any other advise. ![]() I mean, like... wtf, service charge? Prepaid also got service charge? And randomly too. Untuk apa? The only messages I've received the past few weeks are mostly Celcom ads, like saying I haven't top up for long time and to top up, etc. So can't say I subbed anything or opened any message.
I actually did do a quick check to see if I received any suspicious messages which would tolak d creds, since happened b4 to my cousin, but nope, no messages at all. |

QUOTE(Hummingbird @ Apr 22 2017, 06:39 PM) I was on magic sim before and it happened to me too. The CS who served me at that time blamed me for subscribing to third party SMS service which incurred the charges. After claiming that I had never subscribed anything, he said that I opened up the message when I received it and that's why the charges were imposed. At the end I just accepted it and cut the sim into half after the chat. Thanks for the warning... knowing how bad their usual CS can be, I've preemptively made a SKMM/MCMC report too. I do not think I deserve to have my money being randomly "makan" by Celcom and their random "Service Charge" so am gonna escalate it. It's just a few ringgit, but it is STILL a few ringgit. Stealing is stealing. |

The worrying part is I dunno how long this had gone on for me. If this was one of those premium SMS message scam I would've noticed sooner (messages popping up and taking money is kinda obvious...), but I did not get any message or anything. Just balance randomly kena makan.
Past few months I notice a little d, like balance seems lower than expected, but I thought maybe old d remember wrong. I finally took action when I know for sure this time. Top up last week, got new balance, didn't use phone (call or text) till now, check balance today, down 1.50. Number also too nice, I mean, if I call or stuff, it's like 12 sen blocks or something. Not some cun cun number. Shocked, quickly checked online CS to see if I can find any info, and bam, under Service Charge. This post has been edited by Jyazen: Apr 22 2017, 08:03 PM |

QUOTE(UN1T3D @ Apr 22 2017, 08:14 PM) Just to confirm that you have asked CS to block/unsub ALL the scam sms numbers. These so-called sms premium scam numbers have been known to charge for phantom sms (seen that happens several times on xpax). Weekend and Monday also public holiday so haven't heard any response from CS yet, but I will ask them block and unsub ALL scam sms numbers if they do respond/contact me. Maybe have to wait till at least Tuesday.I doubt calling them will work, waste money also (they say 50 sen PER CALL) and the rep will probably just keep saying cannot do this and that. Will wait they respond the report black and white on their site or via the MCMC, then will ask them to do that. I already put in my MCMC report that I want Celcom to block any and all means of these random Service Charges. And I have to repeat I received no message/SMS so I have no idea what/which scam company, if any. :/ But yeah, since I do not know, time to go nuclear and ask Celcom to unsub and block all scam and/or premium sms numbers. ADDED this to my MCMC report comment section: "I also want CELCOM to UNSUB me from any and ALL the scam and/or premium sms numbers and BLOCK them ALL. I do NOT and WILL NOT ever want any premium and/or charged sms services. These are all scams and they do not nor will they ever get my consent." I think my MCMC report worked. Just got RM25 from Celcom... did not even know I kena until that much. I could only check past 45 days online and it was ~RM9 then, but I guess after MCMC report they check all d details till now.
Hopefully they also banned/blocked all these phantom charges so no more future reoccurances. |
