I switched to First Gold from First 38 plan because my data usage is high (can't get Unifi in my house). Previously, on First 38 plan, I can purchase additional 5GB data at RM50. Since 50+38 (I usually use more than that) is more than RM80, I decided to switch to First Gold.

Now I find out, on First Gold plan, I can't purchase additional 5GB data! I can only purchase additional 1GB data at RM20 with "Free" Yonder Music. 1GB on the First 38 plan is only RM15, so obviously the "Free" Yonder Music is not free!

Worse, the Yonder Music app is not available on Windows Phone. So if I buy additional 1GB, I won't get to enjoy the "free" Yonder Music. Plus, I should have 1 year free subscription to Yonder Music for switching to First Gold but I can't enjoy it. Emailed Celcom but 1 week already no reply.

Thinking about switching to UMobile now.... sad.gif

All the telcos are facing bandwidth bottlenecks now. Celcom charging RM20 for additional 1GB internet with their First Gold plan. Digi reduce their "Unlimited" Midnight Internet quota from 30GB to 10GB.

Bloody fucking hell...

Oh, and those of you upgrading to First Gold from other Celcom plan, get ready to be hit by penalty of 1 month's commitment fee of your previous plan.

According to them, for the 1st month of subscription, they pro-rate their charges unlike other telco who don't pro-rate, so for your last month of subscription, they charge you a full month's fee. That's fair enough la, but it's not like I canceled my subscription with them, I upgraded to their more expensive plan, give them more revenue. Fuckers. Diberi betis hendak paha.

My billing cycle ends on the 24th every month and I switched to First Gold on the 25/5/16. So, because of that 1 day, for my June bill, Celcom charged me RM38 + RM80 (excluding GST, etc).

Farking sien with Celcom..

Monday 18/7 with the help of digilife sent a request to port out to XOX. Didn't receive any SMS so Tuesday 19/7 early morning called Celcom to ask status they said still processing. Today 20/7 at 2am like that tried to call them but seems their whole system down or something. Call nobody pick up, website also down. Just now managed to reach them and they said don't know why the MNP taking so long so open case that will take 8 days to solve.

My billing cycle ends on the 24th. If they port me out on the 25th I will have to pay RM80++ for August even though it's just 1 day.

Damn pissed.

I suspect they are playing dirty tricks and delaying my MNP.

Do you guys know how to make official complaint about this?

Follow up with them they said the MNP is rejected. Ask them why? They said because the number doesn't belong to me. Wtf? I ask them what number was submitted? They state my number. So I ask, that's my number, right? They said yes. So I ask them why you give me that reason? They said don't know, just resubmit the MNP request.

They also state my case closed already because was rejected so I need to resubmit. I ask them why you close case but didn't notify me? They said they sent SMS to me. I said I didn't receive so they said maybe system error.

Then I pura2 ask them when is the end of my billing cycle and what is the consequence of porting out after the deadline? I said, if you didn't notify me that my MNP was rejected, why should I be liable to pay for 1 more month? They said I still have a few more days to resubmit. Legally, they have a point, but I'm damn pissed.

I recorded all the calls. A few times when the customer rep don't know how to answer my questions they hang up on me. Finally I got hold of one guy who willing to confirm some things with me like the MNP request was received on 18/7. But I'm damned pissed I ask him if I resubmit but you delay/reject again then how? He told me to just resubmit and at this point we can talk anything. His actual words. Asshole.

Depending on how this goes I might submit a complain to MCMC even though they probably won't do anything, upload the calls to YouTube and write a proper post here detailing all the buffoonery of Celcom Customer Service. If Celcom fucks around with my MNP again I will cancel my number and just get a new XOX number. Fuck them.

Also, to avoid the MNP rejected, I paid them in advance for July's bill on the 18/7. Guess what? Their system didn't acknowledge receipt. I paid with cash through online banking, not credit card. Another headache I have to endure with Celcom.

Note: I do not have any supplementary lines.

I complained to SKMM this morning. But I don't think for my case they will take any action. They told me they will try to resolve the matter with Celcom but I told them I'm fed up with Celcom, my billing cycle ends on Sunday and I don't want to pay 1 more sen to Celcom so I want to terminate my number before Sunday. So the officer ask me I still want to lodge a complain or not? So I ask the officer, basically they can't take any action against Celcom la? The officer basically said yeah, but I can still lodge a complaint with them. Sigh... So just lodge la.

3rd time already request MNP with Celcom. Now pending. 2 times they reject me with error code SP54 - some/all numbers do not belong to owner. I ask Celcom, in the application, my details and number belong to me, right? They said yes. So I ask them why you reject me and give me that ridiculous reason? They can't give me a reasonable reason and said they don't know, ask me to call XOX and clarify and resubmit my MNP request. I ask them clarify what? The problem is clearly on your side? Fuckers told me to just call XOX, they said is standard procedure when MNP rejected. So I call XOX and they said SP54 of course is not their fault. For error SP54 I need to call Celcom to verify the number belongs to me. XOX said if port in request of course they will accept. Sigh.. Celcom ask me to call XOX, XOX ask me to call Celcom.

So I call Celcom and say I want to terminate my number, they said try and wait until tomorrow see whether the MNP successful or not.

Also, twice Celcom said will open case for me, investigate the matter and give me reference number. But, they just close the case without informing me.
