I don't care about sms, as for unknown number... I never pick up. Just push the number into block call list. Most Android phone can do this.

For me i'll pickup all calls and after they hangup i'll nonstop call them back.. for sms i'll do the same..

Urrgh... I hate those gambling smssss... Super annoying. It's not about your number nice or not. I think when your number 'leak' to those marketing agency, then you'll get those sms and calls. Trying to sell you this and that.

Not quite random I believe. I did try before. I bought a fresh new sim / number from Blue cube. No sms / call from those marketing people. After awhile, receive those sms. I purpose reply saying no thank you. Then more coming. until cannot take it anymore. So I put that sim into my LTE MiFi, 'permanently' as portable WiFi. Hahha call / sms me all you want.

Wonder what will you do if they *Target* your main line.. i mean the one you use the most for everything :>

Blacklist the number in my phone dialer (most Android phone can do this). As for SMS, just delete without reading it. And I never pick up any call from unknown number. Annoying but that's the best thing I can do. with the hope your number will become least favorite and re mark as not active in their list. Finger crossed.

just ignore it. if you reply, they know somebody is active at the other end and understand their language. lol...

Hope this sms issue can make another big case for telco. Then skmm can take immediate action on all of them . Just now the recent telco price war.

I purposely reply / respond to test my theory, the more you respond, higher chances your number becoming 'hot' target. That's why i use new prepaid SIM that I bought from Blue Cube. The good thing is, that SIM ends up in my LTE MiFI.
