FHD is enough for normal viewing, but not enough for VR as you can see the pixels. I just use a cheapo Google Cardboard for that.

EMUI and MIUI is somewhat similar. I think all China phones UI is similar. No app drawer, theme choices, but the built in apps can be useful though. Easily fixed with a different launcher though.

P9 has a faster CPU. Camera should be better though lacking OIS.

I have to say, sound with earphone sounds great with Poweramp after using the built in equalizer. Speaker sound is pretty loud but distorted if you max it out. It's great at around 60% volume.

Bought bro. Quite a few years already. It's worth it. Using the Alpha version now which is even better. Yeah the EQ is way better than built in player.

No. People usually whine about the side bezel. But they forgot about the top and bottom bezel.

Since your nickname is sonyfanzz, the Z5 bezel is slightly thicker than P9. For me, i'd pick the best balance of overall bezel. But if you want really thin side bezel, i suggest you go for Elephone S3 instead.

Should be better since the screen is also AMOLED and less powerful CPU. I just find it funny that it looks like the Mate 8.

Makes me wonder if the Mate 9 will use AMOLED as well since they use it in P9. Very sure it will have dual camera as well.

After 4 months, i just found out about the magazine settings. You can actually add up to 500 pictures.

I use Google Cardboard. Almost didn't fit but still works. Yeah need 2K or more for VR but i prefer implementation like Sony. Just use 1080p for normal use, 2K/4K for VR.
