Both can receive calls. U can call out with either also. As for data, u can choose 1 to be main (4g) while other will be 2g.

I dual whatsapp for each line and it works fine.

U will need a 3rd party app for dual whatsapp though..

U cant give a proper rating unil u use the phone for at least a week or so.

Thats what i did. I bought the m8, used it for a week before deciding to offload my n5.

Once u are used to it, then it becomes fine

Agree with uncle benny. There is no such thing as the perfect phone.

I thought my note 5 was the perfect phone until how buggy my unit was.

Mate 8 is not perfect. It has its flaws but definitely less buggy vs note 5.

U need to ask urself, what are your main criterias in a phone? Then perhaps u can choose accordingly.

If u can afford it, of course go for the best. But if thr extra 300-400 is alot, 3gb variant would sufficr for your usage. Also, may want to consider if u going to use it long or trial.

Resell value will also be better with highest spec.

Check under protected apps in the battery manager. Protected allows it to run even when screen is off.

Anyhow, i experienced that on my s6 edge. Sold it off immediately. What telco are u using?

Could it be the camera seems not as sharp because of the display?

Note 5 got awesome reso, thats why looks nicer, sharper, clearer?

Just realised something.

Does your mate 8 wake up when u receive sms/whatsapp or any notification?

Wake up as in the screen lights up.

Secondly, i enable whatsapp to show in lock screen, ntg also



edit : solved for both. just in case u are wondering like me, if u turn on pattern lock for security, u cant have lock screen notifications and it wont turn on screens when received.

Does finger print sensor allow lock screen notification and turns on screen when therr are msgs?

Edit: tried all, only no security allows. Pin, passcode, pattern all dont allow

Yes. But u cant use pattern security lock and u have to enable/allow whatsapp (for example) to show in lock screen. Im getting it now but previously with pattern lock, it doesnt show.
