Well, so I opened this [WTB] thread for Nexus 5 because I needed one for development purposes urgently. Didn't care to go through the 2nd hand pirce reference list. Via PM he gave me a too-good-to-be-real price (which is 400) . Recently I bought a real PS3 for really cheap price so I though this would be real too ( my bad).

Anyways, I paid him the amount and he sent me the tracking number. Usually I google the tracking number to check if its real or not. And guess what? This wasn't. The number he gave me was EF131697465MY .

When I googled it, found that this same number is related to other two con cases as well. That time I realized that I have been conned. The two other threads are :

He even gave me his IC details before the transaction.

I felt REALLY REALLY suspicious when he started providing me these EXTRA infos for security assurance because I've been doing this since like 3 yrs and serious sellers don't usually provide their infos unless you urge them from your side.

Anyways, I wanted to warn you guys through this post.

I'm an international not really aware of the laws with respect to scamming/con jobs. So, what is the procedure? Is there anything substantial that can be done?

Called your brother Raymond Tan and he confirmed that this Lo Chi Yang is using his IC and scam all around.

Any way to teach this guy a lesson?

I'm also one of the victim who got scammed by him for RM480. I tried to contact the owner of the adress in the IC (Who is also one of the victim's mom) and she reported to police yesterday already and she's trying to find this scammer in the whole KL. I also called the scammer's father and he told me that his son left them for almost year and didn't come back , they also can't find him.

Hmm....so what do you think can be done? Is there a chance this guy is part of some large gang or something?

No idea , he left his family months ago already , nothing can be done at the moment.
