I think you missed the point, these are precisely the areas that will need MRT stations - it will allow access to public transportation for these old areas and also possibly trigger redevelopment of these areas.I see quite a number of these stations are those that I might use, coupled with last mile connectivity like e-scooters/e-bikes or even Grab, I can also be car free except for longer distance travel.
