I was tension too. I bought a V3754TU and an XP Home OEM. Before getting all the drivers from the internet, I already activated the XP Home. doh.gif Anyway, if you manage to get the drivers, do let everyone know. I still can't get the sound, modem and WLAN working.

Now, I decided to get a Vista Basic for the Laptop. And try to do Dual boot, since I got some work related softwares work only in XP.

omg i really need v3754tu drivers for xp...anyone could help? i cant find much abt this model at google

Good luck mate. I got this model as well. I searched the internet up and down. So far, I left only the sound, modem and WLAN drivers. If you got any of them, maybe we can exchange. thumbup.gif

I'm planning to get Vista Home Basic for the machine. But will still keep my XP Home inside.

The "L" key on my V3754TU keyboard pops out easily. If I send it to HP in damansara for repair, anyone knows how long does it take?

I have a V3754 with Vista. Anyone knows how to disable the tap-to-click on my touch pad? I can't seemed to find that option in control panel.

Thanks.

check in synaptic control option.

Nope, I couldn't find it in the "Mouse" section in control panel. That's why I'm asking. Plus I couldn't find the vista driver for "Synaptics" in HP website, under my laptop model.

hi Siu Yi,

I've tried installing the drivers as you directed, yet I was still not able to disable the tab-to-click function. After installing the drivers, a synaptics icon appeared near the PC clock. I right-clicked on it and the drop down menu showed three items, namely "Pointing Device Propeties", "Accessories" and "Tap to click". The "Tap to click" was grey in colour, which means I'm not allowed to do anything to it. Then "Accessories" expands to "Pressure graph"
"Moodpad". I clicked on both of them, and both of them showing the same error message: "Sorry... Moodpad (Pressure graph) requires a Synaptics Touchpad and Synaptics Pointing Device Driver".

I chose the "Pointing Device Properties" and I couldn't find the way to disable the tab-to-click. I was just wondering why the error message was displayed when I have already installed the driver, and most importantly, the laptop does have a touchpad. The possible explanation is the Synaptics didn't make the touchpad. After all, the driver I installed was for V3204TU instead of my laptop model.

Do you know what went wrong?

Thanks.

Hi All,

I finally found the touchpad drivers for V37XX intel-based series for vista. Not sure for other series and AMD-based models. The manufacturer for the touchpad is Alps Electric and NOT Synapstic. Here's is the LINK for the drivers.

You can now disable the sometimes annoying tab-to-click function.
