Greetings all,

I faced a problem with my lappy, it seems like there's a problem with the networking. It took almost over 100 minutes to copy a single 800Mb file which usually took less than a few minutes through the LAN in my house.

My friends have problem copy files from my Lappy too but no problem file transfer between them.

Beside that, surfing sometimes seem to be slower with my lappy. Any advice? sad.gif
Here's my PC details:

V3616au
AMD Turion 64 X 2 Mobile Technology TL-60 (2.0 Ghz)
. 2GB 667 MHz
. 160 GB Hard Disk Drive
. Wireless 802.11 a/b/g
. NVIDIA Southbridge MCP51
. Nvidia geForce Go 7150M up to 559MB Total Graphics Memory with 4096MB system memory (UMA / shared graphics)
. Integrated 10mbps, 100 Mbps
. Integrated Bluetooth
. ExpressCard/54 Slot

i think..
it is not your lan problem..
it comes from UTP Cat5/5e that u are using now..
try to find short cable.. plug it near switch...
ur friend's pc and your laptop biggrin.gif

if still slow... with short distance...
maybe your friend's hdd or yours got problem (some report that certain Compaq lappy got this problem)
now u can point to the problem to the network card smile.gif

try to try it one by one ya...

hopefully this help you..

but somehow this Ready Boost still slow ler

initial Ram is much better ...

where to get s-ata driver eh??

Chipset Intel Notebook

Please search for you Notebook's motherboard chipset

whether it is PM965
915GM , 945PM

so u will direct to the page

when u have downloaded the s-ata driver
u need to choose the name of the s-ata driver
look the details at Device Manager for S-ata driver..
