need your guys opinion, i initially wanted to buy the compaq v3250 but im concerned abt the heat.

the AMD X2 generates a lot more heat than C2D? got like 10C difference in tempearature if compare the AMD X2 and the C2D?

also, can the Intel GMA 950 support Aero effect in Windows Vista? i thinking of buying the C2D laptop if the it can.

give all your opinions and user experience with both of the compaq v3000 series laptop

both are good, and yes, GMA can run Aero nicely.
whats your budget? as core2duo specs of v3000 is pricey compare to the X2 1.

hi kanethesun,
my budget.. erm cheaper the better but i really dont want to buy a laptop that generates a lot of heat.

i once own a ASUS Athlon laptop. initially i can still tolerate the heat and the CPU turn on once in a while. But as the laptop age, the CPU fan turn on quite often and the laptop is hot all the time. i got send the laptop for ppl to clean the inside. it was ok for quite some before the CPU fan starts to turn on quite often again.

so back to topic, since the GMA can run AERO, should i juz settle for the C2D version?

how much cooler can the C2D run?

can see big difference like 10C cooler than the AMD X2 in a room that has no air con?

after reading all the post on temperature, now i think i got one last question. I noticed that the compaq v3000 series doesn't even come with a pre-installed Windows OS.

Is there a choice to purchase a Windows XP or Vista at a lower price when buying a V3250?
