Anyone here using a V3758TU model? I'm having some problems with the sound driver. The laptop speakers still emits sound even if I plugged in my headphones. I tried mindkiller6610's guide, but the driver wasn't compatible with my model. Anyone knows how to fix it? QUOTE Something to read..for people who wants to install XP instead of Vista on V3000 series smile.gif http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/generic...=reg_R1002_USENThat sucks. So new laptops are all doomed to VistAIDS forever? :( This post has been edited by infested_ysy: Feb 7 2008, 01:05 AM

Say, anyone here experienced odd lags with their Presario V3000 laptops?
Whenever I go in and out of some programs(active window to inactive window, vice versa) on my laptop, it would have this odd 8 seconds+ lag, where nothing would respond for this moment (even the mouse movement isn't detected). This usually happen whenever I play games, windowed mode or not. But it doesn't happen for every other application that I've been using thus far.
What is going on?

Anyone here still having problems with their laptops speakers emiting sounds on the speakers when headphonejack's plugged in? I have the same problem too, but was solved after downloading a driver, as seen in this thread: http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums...hreadId=1204621QUOTE #8. Now you're stuck with the dreaded "Conexant Audio Driver" in device manager (and for many of you, the only real reason why you are reading this anyway) Download "sound.zip" from here --> http://www.jszgfood.com/sound.zip Just unzip the file anywhere, run the setup.exe, get a warning, click continue anyway, then you should see a window, stating that this driver's an update to your existing one. Continue again, and let the installation run for a few minutes. The mute button works properly too, after the installation. The key would turn red when muted.
