guys,i'm planning to get a v-series soon...i want to upgrade the ram to 1gb..is it a must for me to use hp ram to not void the warranty? or can I use other like kingston...?...and lastly,can i do the upgrade at the shop on the purchase date,or sud i expect a waiting period to order and install it?..thanks in advance!

has anyone tried corsair?...i've read quite a few complaints abt kingston here...hp original on the other hand is over-priced....

warranty will void if u install kingston?...a forumer said it wudnt...i'm confused...i was planning to get an upgrade as i purchase mine...does tht mean i have to wait for them to order the ram frm hp?

actually i knew this,as williamgwl had stated earlier...i was refering to alieamin who sed he had bought a ram stick but didnt put it in to not void the warranty..hopefully he reads this smile.gif btw guys,i was looking thru some price lists,and i found that startec is selling pc4200 and pc5300 512mb ddr2 modules for rm125 and rm235 for 1gb....

i am sure..i got the price list yesterday when i went to low yat...mabey its a typo..but its rm155 in compu-zone i think...
