hi, i am using V3203TU.

Currently, using Windows XP PRO.

Have done all the updates inclusive sp2 n etc.

Installed UAA , mine is using Intel Core 2 Processor but the Coxenant for Intel cannot work so i installed the Coxenant for AMD . It works for the SOUND.

but lastly, i still not able to get the MODEM to function. i check the control panel -> hardware-> there a sign "Modem Device on High Definition Audio Bus" driver still not installed and i d/l the driver from hp site but it still did not work out for me.

It prompted "cannot locate media device"

Anyone know how to resolve this problem ?? thanks i 'd really appreciate it.

Downloaded the modem driver for Windows Vista and it's works ! Installation : Success. thumbup.gif

however, it works on Windows XP Pro~ have yet to use the modem for dial-up, probably tonight and keep you guys update whether have any side-effects~ but let's hope not.

btw, "emofags" thanks for the valuable info ~ and we'd really appreciate it.

hi,

As for the Sound, i actually uninstalled it & decided to use the driver which is

found in the intel site under Intel 945GM chipset for onboard sound driver.

Btw, do this notebook support BT ? this is one which i miss remembering it.

no problem bose00, glad i can help.

i've tried the vista modem driver, can dial and connect - function as it is smile.gif maybe compaq misplaced the driver (vista <-> xp). just found it weird that there's no driver for windows xp in their driver page.

for the sound, i have to remove the previous driver (amd) and then reinstall the vista ones - works too (although if u run the amd one, it will prompt an upgrade).

the only issues is the driver 'has not passed whql' alert..
