I informed the agent but she insisted it is commercial and she still want to try 2 more banks (Public and Hong Leong) before she can cancel the deal and fully refund. I given her the benefit of doubt and directly send my loan application to the 2 banks together with my income proof and other stuff. Again the loan was rejected.
So I am requesting the agent to keep to her promise and refund me after all these troubles going through the loan application. She checked with the banker and agreed to do a full refund (conversation captured in whatsapp). This is where all nightmares start.
Today, the Hong Leong Banker whatsapp me and ask me for permission to release my financial document to the agent citing the agent requesting for it. I was furious, how can an agent try to access my financial document behind my back and go directly to the bank. This is against the Banking Secrecy Act. So I questioned the agent and she admit it was a lapse of her professionalism (captured in whatsapp). Then later in the afternoon, she text me and said the developer now want to charge RM500 for admin and will be deducted from my booking fee. By now, I am really fed up with the agent, it was her who claim I can act as co-borrower to secure loan, that is why we placed RM3000 booking fee and we are twice assured that the booking fee will be fully refunded. Now changed her speech suddenly.
I have a full log of my conversation with her and the banker pertaining to the above incident, may I know if I can pursue my legal right to ensure what has been done wrong, do right via legal system?
