I tried the F310 at the Yamaha sale recently and retail price has already jumped to RM500++.

Will probably go for something else at that price.

seems like the f310 is a hot choice..recently i went to a shop and the owner recommended me a cort guitar..but i might need to increase my budget..=) apparently yamaha's guitar is better at top range where their lower range are not so good.... and what do u think about a solid top guitar? is there a huge difference and is it value for the money? (price is around 800)

well cort is ok, yamaha is recommended cause they used to be plentiful and you can get a second hand one for cheap.

solid stops are as what it is, value for money depends on the beholder. they tend to sound better but thats if you can tell if it does, not all solids do work wonders.

the downside of solids is that they are more fragile than laminates

hence go with popular opinion... there's always a reason why something is chosen.
tho now yamahaha f310 retails rm500 its no longer value as when it was popularly recommended it was only rm300.

so ya now at rm500 range, as u already mentioned... Cort is a very good choice...

Go to CK, Swee Lee and Bentley, try their cheaper models. Then go to Guitar Store (they have better acoustic selection) and try theirs.

Shouldnt be hard to pick once to try and compare them all. Dont be afraid to try.

On paper they all look the same, so it'll be hard to decide, gets easier when you try them with your own hands.

i went to music bliss and the guitar store to try out a few guitars.the difficult part is most of them sound almost the same..hahaha..just a slight difference tho..so far i see Epiphone AJ 220SCE/N and Cort MR E NS they are not bad.
