I downloaded the full firmware for 130 again from official huawei website, and now I'm trying to get it on my phone. put it inside dload folder in my SD card, put in phone, tried the 3 button for update, but it said software installation failed. any help please? ps: I messed up i know. @_@ This post has been edited by alip_11: Aug 9 2016, 10:09 AM |

I don't understand the fastboot section.
read it from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-7/ge...te-fix-t3255452 » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I'm done with step 5, but I dont quite get it for step 6. I opened the cmd, at the location where I extracted the files. trying with "fastboot devices" but 'fastboot' is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. update: tried using honor multitool, select unbrick option, but failed when writing the fastboot.. hmm update 2: is it necessary to unloack fastboot? as I entered the fastboot, it said my phone is locked. if it is necessary, how to get it since I can't even switched on the phone.. QUOTE(fiezwan @ Aug 9 2016, 01:49 PM) I understand the feeling. coz i *faak* up alot on previous android dev testing. I tried multitool and manual cmd code as the tutorial from what I have quoted before. It sounds like you flashed the wrong rom to your Honor7. I wonder how u manage to do it. You said that you tried using Multitool.. but, have you tried using another tool? just want to make sure you tried all options now I have a bit of understanding towards the fastboot, as I installed its driver as well as ADB. I have never rooted my phone before, so when I press volume down + power, it enter the fastboot menu, but it said 'LOCKED phone". so it it important to unlock first, then i will be able to flash those files I extracted to my phone. if so, I can't even turn on my phone, how am i supposed to turn on debug mode etc. update: I guess so, I downloaded "PLK-L01C636B310-OTA" that i found in a forum when I googled before. put it in my sd card, then do local update. phone restart, went up to 100% updating then restart again, then stucked on the honor logo for hours. then i gave up. lol This post has been edited by alip_11: Aug 9 2016, 02:04 PM |

QUOTE(fiezwan @ Aug 9 2016, 02:30 PM) Have you tried SRK tool yet? yup. still have. but lowyat is 9hours away drive from here. Fastboot is one of the command that required while opening cmd prompt with ADB function that has been installed on your computer. Right now, regardless if it is matter to unlock the bootloader or not, your priority is to turn on your device. Believe me, I would suggest you for not breaking up your brain further more. Best solution is, bring your phone to Huawei in Lowyat Plaza, send it for warranty. Tell them that you do an OTA update, then phone are not able to power on. They cant detect what is the current rom as the partition might been damage with no OS running. * Do you still have a copy of your Honor 7 receipt (warranty card)? now downloading the srk tool you're saying. does that mean it doesn't matter if my phone is locked or unlocked when using this apps to unbricked? cuz I'm quite reluctant to unlocked as my phone is still under warranty.. |

QUOTE(fiezwan @ Aug 9 2016, 05:27 PM) My bad. I thought you're in KL. Anyway, you could find any nearest Huawei center and hand it over to them with your warranty. srk tool not working as well.. Yes, it doesn't matter even if you had a lock or unlock bootloader. The tools should (might) be able to help. Anyway, different people will have different error situation to recover from the dead. yours might be a little bit tricky. I guess, I'm going to bring back the phone to the shop I bought. still 2months++ old only.. hopefully, the process won't take too long. need to continue catching pokemon. |

QUOTE(fiezwan @ Aug 18 2016, 10:00 PM) 1st of all, i think you are the only person who know how to answer that Haha. True also. I guess I'm just being paranoid. Well, I guess I'm gonna enjoy the experience first! because it's your cellphone, and you are the owner of it. 2nd is: why would you want to go for B340 3rd is: do you feel any awkward situation after get the B330 from them? such as whatsapp notification issues, slow charging, display notification, etc.. if not then... up to you. Anyway, we are also happy to hear that your phone is now ready to be use. Enjoy the B330 first. go catch pokemon or capture some magnificent photo's using H7 20mp camera + show off to your frens how cool is your phone compare to theirs - im just saying my opinion. |

QUOTE(fiezwan @ Sep 1 2016, 10:26 AM) I remember last time you sent your unit to Huawei center. How long does it takes to return back to you? yup, it took me just under a week. sent on friday, pick it up on the following thursday.Another thing is, how did you update your B330 to B340? Via OTA or manually download the file, into your phone? I saja2 checked for update in the setting last night (via OTA), then it popped up an update to b340. so I updated trus. scared to do manually anymore This post has been edited by alip_11: Sep 1 2016, 10:47 AM |
