As far as I know, all banks charge a standard RM0.11 for IBG and RM0.53 for immediate transfer. Bill payments are never charged a fee. These charges are regulated by BNM. Sometimes, some banks don't charge as part of promotion period. Otherwise, they charge the standard fee.

is using debit card spending 500 to earn 1.2% has more earning than using your cash back credit card?
*
Using credit card RM500, let's say 5% cashback = RM25.
But if the person has RM80,000, the 1.2% = RM80

OCBC recently introduced the SoftToken.
The "OTP" in the soft token works fine, but when I try to do fund transfer, the challenge code / "Transaction code" crashes. So I'm unable to transfer fund via the OCBC website.
Anyone having problem with "Transaction code"?

I called up customer care. And they said they just launched it yesterday and they are taking in all complains from customers to be forwarded to the IT people. So in the meantime, it will crash (for me) if transfer is above RM10K via website until they fix it.

This is inaccurate, OCBC debit card spend doesn't say must be online. So reload boost should be no issue, with or without OTP (Boost got no OTP).
*
Agree. Check your OCBC statement. As long as transaction is listed as "SA BANDCARD PAY (DC)", then it is considered as spending.

Sometimes you encounter the wrong bank officer. It can happen to any bank and in any branch. I can understand how it feels. Just write in to complain.

My encounters:
1. Rejected by Maybank to open a savings account because my IC and my workplace don't match the branch I'm applying to. I rent in that area. Walk across Alliance Bank and open an account there instead.
2. Walk into OCBC bank to open currents account, told by officer to go back to the original branch to open. Walk over to HSBC and immediately open a currents account.
3. Lost my RHB passbook and account password. Cannot use my IC to verify my identity. Was told to go to original branch. At original branch, need two documentation to prove my identity (I don't get it, why IC and fingerprint is not enough). So after that, was told that account is inactive, need to pay a fee and since the fee plus closing account fee is more than my current value in bank, told to just let the account die by itself.
4. Latest is application for OCBC credit card got rejected. The following week, an officer called to offer me the credit card. I said "dowan liao".

Hi guys, also new here. just would like to confirm if I will get 4.1% if I do all 3 steps below.

1. deposit at least RM500 into 360 saving account anytime in a calendar month
2. fund transfer to 3 different credit cards (may be same or different banks) within a month
3. top up bigpay (with ocbc credit card) at least RM500 within a calendar month

step 2 a bit unclear for me, bank transfer considered "bill payment" as read from the posts above right?

thanks lot.

For number 2, if you do a bank transfer also counted - different bank accounts la.

Good morning,

I opened this OCBC account yesterday.

Do I have one full month to achieve the 4.1% interest - credit card, bills etc or only until
the end of june?

Thanks
*
The 4.1% interest is applied on average for the month.
Meaning you open the account on 19th June, put money in, the first 18 days of June is zero ringgit.
So at the end of this month, when you received the 4.1%, it will not be the amount you imagine.

Example,
Deposit $100,000 x 4.1% / 365 * 30 = $336.98

But if deposit starts on 19th June onwards,
Average is $40,000 x 4.1% / 365 * 30 = $134.79

OCBC has revised the interest rates.... So it's time for me to apply for a credit card to get the 1.3% interest.
Choosing between OCBC 365 and OCBC Titanium.... Which credit card are you all using? 365 seems to be just teensy bit better but annual fee waive up to 3 years.  Does it mean I have to call everytime to waive the fee or its automatic?
*
Alternatively, you can use the ATM debit card to reload eWallet. It counts towards the "1.3% interest when use credit card"
You can opt to use that amount in your eWallet or withdraw.

I don't really use ewallet actually. I do have loans to service so I use my credit card for 5% rebate. Is there a withdrawal fee for e wallet?

Tip: Withdrawal from WeChat is free.

Obviously no.
He's hinting for usage for debit card.
*
Correct. I mean not everyone likes the OCBC credit cards. There are other CC out there with better benefits. But in order to fulfill the RM500 spending requirement, and if you don't like using OCBC CC, you can use load to WeChat. It deducts from your account via your debit card. Of course there is no cashback or points to be earn - this post is not meant for it. But it can optimise your interest rate as you fulfill all your 3 criterias for OCBC.

my sister never able to apply for the OCBC credit card cause her salary not meeting minimum requirement
so you are saying that she still open a OCBC 360 account and use the debit card and make a RM500 top up to WeChat Pay then withdraw it
then also make 3 bill payment which can be bank transfer
and also bank in RM500 per month then she qualified for 4.1%?
anyone tested this before?

Yes.

Hi I would like to ask, if i have an auto debit of RM500 for insurance to my OCBC debit card, does that considered as 1 transaction of bill payment as well as Rm500 spending criteria?
*
No. Only toward spending criteria. I've used it before. Because I'm using the debit card to autodebit, it counts as spending criteria only.

Not sure if answers your question but I'll share with you my experience when I opened my OCBC 360 account
Usually OCBC encourage you to open the account closest to your address. My residence and office are in KL (both very close to OCBC branch and HQ) but I went to the OCBC branch in Selangor because it was Federal Territories Day therefore none of the KL branches are opened. I didn't want to take leave just to go to the bank so I opt to go to a branch in Selangor. The person attending to my bank account application had to refer to the branch manager or person in charge before proceeding to open my 360 account (no major hiccups in particular)

I just completed the form as usual with the RM500 deposit. They didn't ask for any company letter of such.
*
Foreign banks usually more afraid due to AMLA. My IC from Penang, I stay in Selangor. Have to show utilities bill with my name. I subsequently moved to Johor. Went to open currents account - straight away told cannot, go back to my primary branch. Subsequent year, went to put an FD - all sorts of questions asked. Have to show proof I stay there. EVEN THOUGH I have an OCBC 360 account liao.

Just sign up the 360 account...
I plan to use Wechat reload to meet the "spend" criteria. If I withdraw from Wechat back to 360 account, it meet the "deposit" criteria, right?
*
Not tried that before. I withdraw to another bank account.
