Just opened the 360 account rclxm9.gif
Its nice that I get a little more than average SA...my previous SA interest so little until cannot see any diff even though I rajin deposit ( 0.0X% p.a ) shakehead.gif
So I'm more than happy for 2.9% p.a ( I don't own a CC and I don't see the point in spending from my debit yet.. sweat.gif )

Quote from the T&C

A “Bill Payment” means a payment from the Eligible Customer’s OCBC 360 Account made :
(i) through retail payment channel of OCBC Online Banking or OCBC Internet Banking to :
(a) the Eligible Customer’s OCBC home loan facility; or
(b) any account with any bank or financing institution other than OCBC Bank; or
© any participating billing organisations; or
but excluding any payment by the Financial Process Exchange (FPX) platform
(ii) pursuant to standing instruction to the Customer’s OCBC home loan facility.

Does it include Instant Transfer?
*
If you don't feel like completing 4.10% requirements for OCBC, AND your saving is above RM20,001, you should consider UOB eAccount:
1. for RM20,001 - RM50,000 you get 3.13% interest
2. for RM50,001+ you get 3.60% interest

Giro or Insta will do, to any bank excluding OCBC bank.

The 3 transaction per month,
Pay bill  --- Must go through JomPay ?
IBG/instant transfer considered ?
Since i failed to get the credit card .
I need to spend through debit card .....
Just swipe RM500 would do , rigfht ?

thank you
*
1.2% = Deposit RM500 into account
1.2% = JomPay, IBG & Instant Transfer, if use transfer... to any bank will do, except OCBC
1.2% = Use RM500 on CC/DC, online purchase... retail purchase... pay wave... as long as u use the card (if u have other cashback CC and finds that this criteria not worth fulfilling, then you can look at UOB eAccount, provided you can reach certain amount of saving)

Usually hit only 2.2.9% is not bad haha
*
2.90% is fine but you can get better deal, if your saving is above RM20k, it is better to get an UOB eAccount:
- 20k-50k you get 3.13% interest
- above 50k you get 3.60% interest
without the need to fulfill any criteria

Hi, i still confuse about this. Let's say if i only done deposit RM500, pay 3 bills and spend RM500 on 25th that month, mean i only get 4.1% interests for 5/6 days? (25th - 30/31th)
*
better don't fulfill criteria near end of month, it takes time to reflect the transaction into your account, may get into the following month lol

*

This specific question was posed to the OCBC rep who came to my office, they said transferring to OCBC CASA (not your own, someone else's) would count.
*
Last year december I did an IBG transfer from my OCBC 360 to my family member's OCBC 360 to fullfill the bill payment requirement, and it does not count, die also will remember this sad.gif

Is there a special procedure opening an account with OCBC? Went to their Puchong branch to open a savings account but they denied because I live in Cheras and wanted to see my tenancy agreement. I went to Puchong one because I stay at Cyberjaya on weekdays for study and work. I did show my IC but it was my hometown address in Sarawak.

Will try again on Saturday at another branch see if still got issue or not. But just want to be sure if I really need this document next time
*
there is a cheras OCBC branch, bring along your electricity bill, water bill, and tenancy agreement if you have, it's a standard procedure if applicant is not from local state. Happened to me once when opening a Maybank acc in Seri Kembangan, was from Kedah, living in Putrajaya and work in Seri Kembangan, they asked for my bills and work letter.

Did they change some requirement for the bonus? I only get two 1.2% bonus for previous month statement.

1. Spent RM533.68
2. Transfers RM5 to 3 different bank
3. Deposit RM500

I've been doing this for 1 year + and this is the first time I did not get full bonus

I receive 2 X 1.2% also but is due to spending RM500 last week on 29 Mac (Fri) but transaction recorded only today (02 Apr).  doh.gif
That is the reason of the lacking of another 1.2%. Rugi RM8++.
Lesson learn. Not to do thing last minute next time.
*
Lol
But mine was done within the same calendar month rclxub.gif
Only estatement shows the specific criteria bonus u get (360 DEPOSIT BONUS, 360 PAYMENT BONUS, 360 CC SPEND BONUS)
normal account summary only has "360 BONUS INTEREST" words, hard to check which bonus I did not get

I did hundreds above on necessary spending.
If i remember correctly, few months back i tried RM1 qualify too. So RM5 should be not an issue
Maybe can try to consult the CS for your case , we can take note too
*
Ok noted, will call their CS when march statement available... nothing seems wrong, must be something hidden that i missed

Edit: Called OCBC CS and was told this may caused by using paywave, which does not count as CC/DC usage, I said I don't remember because I have multiple cards, and there is no mention of this in T&C, she said she will help me to submit request for bonus approval and will call me back later... so.. will update later.

Update on my case:

April 4: Another OCBC CS called to give update, said i'm not the only one with this problem and their respective team is working on it but they do not know when it will be solved, probably around 1 month, I asked again if paywave does not count as CC/DC usage and she assured me that any transaction done with the card count, paywave included, and this was an error on their system, nothing to worry about, i will get my bonus

Guess i'll have to wait next month, hopefully tak kena kelentong by CS rclxms.gif

Yep same day, within few minutes haha!

These are written in OCBC 360 T&C:

Multiple payments within the calendar month bearing the same reference will be deemed as one Bill Payment. For example:
(i) multiple payments to the same OCBC home loan facility account; or
(ii) multiple payments to the same participating billing organisation, unless each payment is uniquely identified to a
different account; or
(iii) multiple payments to the same account with any bank or financing institution.
OCBC Bank’s decisions as to whether any 2 or more payments shall collectively be deemed as one Bill Payment shall be
final, conclusive and binding on all parties concerned.

No income source cannot open account. Well done OCBC. Singapore also don’t have such requirement. Lodge complaint to bnm soon.
*
Lol probably better to lodge complaint to that specific branch and person in charge, when I open ocbc 360 the staff didn't ask for my income also. Nak bukak account apa? Ocbc 360? Ok boleh

Good morning,

I opened this OCBC account yesterday.

Do I have one full month to achieve the 4.1% interest - credit card, bills etc or only until
the end of june?

Thanks
*
You still have 10 days to achieve 4.1% interest for June, criteria interest will be credited to your account on 2nd day of next month.
