How reliable is OCBC servers ?

Last week I tried to pay RM20 from Debit card for order Bigpay card but Bigpay app shows OCBC temporary unavailable error. End up pay by HLB credit card. Tried another payment for reload TnG app also failed. Today I received Bigpay card, try to topup, same error again. Tried paying for Smart Selangor also failed.

I going to apply credit card for my 360 acc and have second thoughts. It really sucks when try to do online payment and it does not work.

Does anyone here face disruption when using OCBC debit or credit card ?

1) I can't recall register phone number for debit card. Is it possible to do it at ocbc website ?
I have install OCBC app for phone, OTP is working fine. Make some purchase at shop and MCD.

2) Yes. However I did not enable overseas ATM withdraw.

If I pay by debit card (360 acc) for Bil Cukai Taksiran at counter, does it consider as bill payment or spending ?

I still having problems with some online credit card transactions, like top up touch and go app, bigpay, add card to shopee and etc. Early this month it was with debit card, now received credit card also same problem. The attached picture, shows failure "System temporary unavailable". One online purchase went through, perhaps it did not require MasterCard SecureCode verification. If I use cards at retail outlets, there is no problem with wave or PIN payment.

I have already call up service centre. They say no restriction on my cards, some transaction actually went through. For example, add credit card at shopee. I received SMS saying successful but at shopee screen fails, "System temporary unavailable". Somehow on their side, my cards are OK. I intend to use credit card for purchases, debit card only for cash.

Anyone facing this problem ? Looks like I have to go to OCBC bank for troubleshooting.

I have some success with SUNREIT, IGBREIT and YTLREIT before. Bought early and low price. Now good price and dividend too.

I have similar experience. OCBC app on iPhone says need updating before it can use but check the app already latest. Could not run OneToken. I tried again a few hours later, the app work .

Have you try buying something from hypermart, shops etc and online purchase with your card ?

Have you enable overseas spend, overseas ATM cash withdrawal and online shopping via OCBC Internet Banking and OCBC branches ?

If it's all fail, there is a possibility the card is blocked. That's what happen to me. I used to get "Mastercard secure, system is temporarily unavailable" message whenever I use the card online. At first I call them up but can't resolve problem on the phone. In the end, I have to go to OCBC and get them sort it out.

Guys & Gals, Is paying insurance premium via CC consider as paying bills or spending under OCBC 360 ?

Recently just open an SC account, moving some money from 360 to SC. Rearranging CC payment as well. OCBC interest getting low.

Well, it depends. If the person is able to meet conditions, deposit RM500, spending RM500 and pay 3 bills every month, can consider OCBC 360. Otherwise FD.

Personally I prefer putting money in OCBC 360, can withdraw money anytime I want without losing interest.

Since you are considering OCBC 360, you can consider other banks as well.

OK, so I am not the only one. I received 2 out of 3, the 360 bonus interest. I call up OCBC this morning, the lady said from system shows my bill payments not fulfill criteria. However after checking, my bill payments turn out to be OK.

She said she will check with the people in charge and call back by today. So far until now, no phone call yet.

An update : I just received phone call from OCBC. They discover some system error, so some bonus interest are not credit into account. So they will manually credit bonus interest to qualify customers. All within 14 working days of this month. Apparently there are other customers call up having the same issue.

Yeah, still missing bonus profit and waiting for it.

Just check acc, my missing bonus profit is in this morning

I got all 3.

Spend 500 via OCBC card, maybe transaction bill on later date (after 30th ???). It's better to do spending early or middle of month.
