I just ported in to a new phone network service provider (same phone number) and now my Onetoken is deactivated + I cannot receive OTP from OCBC. Tried calling them and they asked me to reset passwords and log in id... Cant they update my telco provider on their end?
*
Auto update telco provider? Don't think there is an auto detect and update telco provider, will have to call and let bank know.

So have you reset the password? Able to received OTP? Onetoken working fine?

I just checked my account balance today and delighted to see my first 360 bonus interest - 3 times. So I assume I hit all the criteria :-). Do you all get these bonuses as well?

Yes, got mine too. rclxm9.gif

I notice that I did an Instant Transfer from MBB to OCBC on 30 Sep, but OCBC captured the txn date and posting date as 1 Oct 2019.. n I check my previous txn, it seem all the incoming fund is captured 1 day late..
*
What time did you do the instant transfer? Could be time issue. hmm.gif

Instant transfer before 10pm still same day, today. After 10pm is not sure. There is one i unsure if i see wrongly 10.30pm is next day (not confirmed). But 10.45pm was confirmed to be next day.

I think the timing so far is unique to ocbc at least (you might try other banks which have similar high yield savings account to test out whether they have such cut off time and their behavior and treatment to transaction after cut off time). Yes, the balance will reflect immediately. However, for interest calculation and condition qualifying, transaction after cut off time will be deemed as next calendar day transaction.

I usually take advantage of this by transferring after the cut off time to pay for my cc that due on the day  laugh.gif (e.g. ambank card due date on 24th September, I will transfer to my mabank cc on like 10 pm, so that the balance is still earning interest on 24th September while my credit card will show balance paid at 24th September, no late payment  tongue.gif )

welp, i got rejected in regards to trying o apply for an OCBC blue card, so I guess I can only rely on debit card; are there any indicators in which you know you've completed one of the requirements for the step up in interest rate?
*
Don't think there is a way to know, only self tracking by going to the 'calendar view' page. Not necessary but is better to avoid near end of month transaction to fulfill all the conditions.

I turned 24 (less than a year), and I just notice that my CIMB SA no longer giving me interest. check2, my account need have at least average daily balance of RM5K.

Hence, I've been doing research today, at all banks since 5pm, and come across 2 banks, OCBC and SCB. - Should have just read lowyat forum, I go scroll each bank one by one lol.

OCBC is offering 4.1% while SCB offers 4.0% (I can't get the additional 2% as I don't plant to use their investment/insurance product.

Clearly, OCBC won here, and some more SCB is only until end of this year, 31 december 2019 (but i read last year it s until 31 dec 18, but they renew another year, hence maybe will renew again) - I reckon OCBC doesn't have an expiry date for this 4.1% interest right?

And I read the Terms and Conditions, both banks are using the same methods of calculating interest.

However, OCBC charges RM8 for it's Debit Card (which I don't think I will use since they charge RM4 per withdrawal at other ATMs and their ATMs are not as many as Maybank/CIMB) - will I be able to opt for this account without Debit Card?

On the other hand, SCB (Standard Chartered) Privilege Savers comes with free Debit Card and free withdrawal at all MEPS atm - which is a lovely feature.

So now I'm torn, between SCB or OCBC. SCB is just located between my office and my parking area. So I definitely will pass by every single day (provided I didn't change my job). While, OCBC is located behind my parking area. Conveniently both are near to my office.

As for requirements to be eligible for OCBC/SCB, I can fulfill both every month.

Now the consideration of debit card/ATM withdrawal. Can anyone share their thoughts/opinion?
*
For OCBC, taking 360 saving account without debit debit may need to depend on OCBC branch (not possible in my case). To fulfill the spend condition requires either debit card or credit card. Debit card charge RM8 annual while credit card without annual fee charge RM25 SST (may rebate by call). Max saving amount to get bonus interest is only RM100k and more than that no bonus interest gained. Choose one (debit card / credit card) but if in future anyone have more capital can always opt for one 360 saving account with credit card, one 360-i saving account with debit card, and/or one standard chartered Privilege$aver account, or other bank etc.

Ocbc and other CC can. That’s what I understand from reading this forum.

Spending they never specify. So i think both boost n bigpay qualify.

Ya get cashback but I think the promo ends in sept. I didnt see they update it in their website.

Hi guys, when I open my account just now, the bank staff also promote this thing to me. But it sounds too good to be true?

https://www.ocbc.com.my/personal-banking/In...ield/index.html

I have limited knowledge about this kind of thing as I always park my money in ASB since it's almost a risk-free investment.

For this endowment plan, there's guaranteed payment of 5% for the first 5 years, then subsequently it's 13% till year 13.

Coz they staff ask whether I can fulfilled the spending RM500 with their CC. Coz he said if no, then might as well take this insurance stuff, then can charge the premium to my OCBC CC.
*
I decided not to take this too.

I think credit card payment also qualifies for ‘spend 3x bill payment’.
1. Pay Standard Chartered CC RM5
2. Pay OCBC Titanium RM3
3. Pay OCBC 365 RM2

Maybe @alvinlim can confirm.
