anywhere to confirm this ?  same applies for rhb smart saver ?

You can see your ocbc bank histoty for the transaction date to confirm.
RHB not sure, never do interest calculation on RHB, only did for OCBC.

QUOTE(MGM @ Mar 22 2022, 05:39 PM)
I always made payment after 10pm. After went thru the history I noticed that most transaction & posting dates are the same except for those on weekend especially Sunday.
But there is 1 weekend transfer that were transacted & posted same day. rclxub.gif
From this I would not purposely wait til 10pm anymore unless on Sunday.
*
The interest is calculated base on transaction date, not posting date.

E.g deposit into ocbc @ 24/3 10pm, transaction date probably 25/3, you wont get interest for 24/3.
Withdraw usually same date...

From my March bonus interest I can confirm that 10pm cutoff still applies. This account I have stopped using for a while di (RHB and SCB accounts give better rate or more convenience), but I still use the linked OCBC card for some things, so I fulfil all 3 criteria.

This means the account is always at RM0 balance (except when salary comes in which is transferred out immediately). One day in March I received 20k transferred in, and I waited till 10.30pm to transfer it out to my main (RHB). Yesterday received total RM1.17 interest (which is almost exactly 2.1% p.a / 365 days of 20k).

Which dates you talking about? The day I received the money (4+pm) is the same day I transferred it out (after 10pm).

Statement not yet generated for March unfortunately. But I can confirm in transaction history the date I received fund is 17 March (correct) but date transfer out is 18th March (actually I transfer out 10+pm on 17 March). Receiving bank (RHB) shows 17 March.

The CS told me they stop giving rebate / waiver since Sep21.. that’s y I just wonder how true is it.. I will wait for my statement generated and pay off with cashback left with the SST then cancel the card..

Hi guys, just got myself the OCBC 360 savings account also.

I was wondering what's the easiest ways to fulfill the criteria?

planning to do this.
1) use maybank to transfer to my OCBC account (RM500)
2) from my OCBC bank, transfer out 3 times ( any amount) back to my maybank
3) Swipe my DEBIT card RM500 monthly.

Also I see you guys saying it has to be CREDIT card for the RM500 spend monthly.

But I've asked and CONFIRMED from the banker saying the DEBIT card also can fulfill that criteria.

Anyone can give your input would be highly appreciated
