Tried out the Closed Beta and Open Beta (btw they extended the open beta till today so play while you can).

My processor is FX4300 (top kek), my GPU is GTX680 and 8gb RAM. I managed to hit 40-60 !!

I am stoked that my desktop able to play, as many said to me that if mine can play the new Wolfenstein, Doom is not a problem. And my monitor is also the main factor for such a smooth frame rate ( normal standard 1920x1080, no 4k, 144hz and stuff)

As for the MP, overall it is fun, but your day will get ruined if there's alot of pro arena shooters stack together, even with the reshuffling at every end of a match, it is not effective enough. laugh.gif

The announcer sounds robotic and bored ala Jarvis in Ironman movie, hope in the future they added in other announcers, just like what Titanfall did.

Weapon wise, they need some time to get used to, as I just discovered in open beta they have alternate fire like all the weapons in Unreal Tournament.

I would like to comment that Rocket Launcher and Super Shotgun lack the blowback after being blasted or shot at. I always shrug off the rocket blast just to get closer to the other fraggers to my super shotty. Heavy machine gun will hopefully get a slight buff, as I don't feel the omph.

Hack module is a hit and miss, as I mostly trying to regroup with others everytime i respawn.

Overall the MP is fun, I find the review at steam s very harsh and borderline nonsense, some just barely even logged into the game and they already made up their mind.

Nevertheless, Doom for me is always a campaign experience, looking forward to how they do the campaign.

Oh I have prepurchase it, I hope to give a written review when it comes out.

I have to admit, it's fun. Yes they made it super casual but at the same time made it so much easier for less hardcore players to get into it. I'm coming from Unreal old school background and still had fun.

I have i3 2100 and can play fine with 60fps (default settings so I don't know how high). It's Unreal anyway so it scales very well if you tune down settings you should be fine

game is fun but really really imbalanced mp

graphics - ok, but the advanced settings is locked, so i doubt the game is running at max settings

mp - completely imbalanced, assault weapons are completely useless while super shotguns are absurdly powerful and not to mention the demonic runes. pick one and you can just oneshot enemies left and right. the game is now loadout style, so people spam rocket launcher like crazy

performance - getting solid 60fps (game is fps locked) at 2560x1440 with a single GTX 970, again, i doubt the game is maxed out in the settings

beta overall - fun, but needs serious balancing, no performance/server issues, no crashes, etc...

It's disappointment to me. Bad optimized game for 2016 and you can see the rating is "Mostly Negative" in Steam. It will make you really take a step to think if this works out for you or not. It failed like Hitman series.

On second hand, the game might be better after the negative reviews are removed from Steam. They have one more chance to win back the gamer's heart for the series! devil.gif brows.gif
