TIPS: About the FINGERPRINT SCAN, did you guys try to scan your left and right fingers in different angles and pressure the first time you set it up? Because I did tat when I first got my phone. And the fingerprint scan never failed to unlock no matter how I place my finger on it. Sometimes even switch from my left fore finger to my right fore finger (as I use both fore fingers to do that first time scanning).

Only 'complain' I had about the phone is that the unit I received was has a 'faulty' screen. vmad.gif It has vertical white shadow lines all over the freaking display! bangwall.gif I had just returned that unit to LZD.

Now I am having 2nd thoughts on getting another unit as this screen lines issue is not a new bug and it has been around for sometime and other Xiaomi phones have been afflicted with it too. It's due to hardware failure. Not cool right? ranting.gif

Even my friend's Redmi of less than a year was afflicted with faulty screen now.

I am currently in a dilemma of whether to buy or not because I have already bought the case and the MiBand for it.

Sleep on this? hmm.gif

thats why they provide you a year warranty. you can use it. ive been using mi and help friend buy. within 20-30 unit from mi3 to redmi note to note 2 to mi4. no problem. if got problem, send it to warranty. done.

for that kind of price for that kind of spec from xiaomi? no issue

You are one of those lucky ones then. It's just frustrating that it's a brandnew phone just out of the box and I can't even enjoy it for a day. cry.gif And I am stucked now until I get my money back from LZD before I could go buy another phone.

I had the exact same issue. Solved after the update.  rclxm9.gif
Hmmm. It looks like we are in the same boat bro. I bought mine last week. Got my phone on 8/4/16. After using it for 2 days, I noticed there's a very small unusual small circle at bottom right of the screen. Initially I thought is was dirt or something else, but when I scroll in WhatsApp for example, can see the circle stays there. It is only visible when the background is white or display is bright. Can't see it at all when background is dark/black.

I'm pretty sure the screen is faulty. It just broke my heart. I got in touch with their CS and they said bring it over to their SC and they'll replace the screen. When I first saw the circle until today no mood to use the phone already.  sad.gif

Did you get yours from Lazada as well? Or was it from Mi Malaysia website? I feel your pain. After all the excitement of finally getting my hands on it. And it's such a hassle to have to return it and now hope LZD would give me that refund and on time too. It's such an eyesore looking at that faulty screen. How not to killjoy leh? Sighhh

But I did love that fingerprint scan. And the phone feels great and light in my hands. Didn't really have much chance to really experience how Miui works. I've heard lots of great things about it which is why I decided to go try out Xiaomi instead of picking up another Samsung phone. My current Samsung has been really sturdy and it has been with me for 4 years already without any hiccups. Still going strong other than the battery power is not as durable these days. If a RM800plus phone could only last you 1 year I don't think that is a cheap phone. Anyhow I think I might brave it and try getting another RN3 as I really wanted to experience Miui and also for the sake of those accessories I have already bought for it.

Thanks. All I could do now is waiting anyways. Since I have to secure my refund first. I hope that would be as painless a process as it could be.

No bro. I got mine online from Mi Malaysia. Seriously, looking at the screen now, the heart so painful. I'm too lazy to send for repair as the nearest SC is not near and I have this feeling like once the phone is opened and repaired like tak syiokkk ady want to use. I guess it's just me.  sad.gif
Sorry to see another case of screen faulty.
*
It's such a hassle to send in for fixing but I would advise you do it soon especially within the warranty period. Because heard that some people's screen got worst after spotting the screen issue. They will change the faulty screen for you. Then it would look as pretty as it should be in the first place. Eyesore issue solved.

Seems like Xiaomi really have inadequate QC issue. dry.gif
