Each time clear ram, Swiftkey keyboard will change back to Google Keyboard. How to solve this?

TIPS: About the FINGERPRINT SCAN, did you guys try to scan your left and right fingers in different angles and pressure the first time you set it up? Because I did tat when I first got my phone. And the fingerprint scan never failed to unlock no matter how I place my finger on it. Sometimes even switch from my left fore finger to my right fore finger (as I use both fore fingers to do that first time scanning).

Only 'complain' I had about the phone is that the unit I received was has a 'faulty' screen. It has vertical white shadow lines all over the freaking display!   I had just returned that unit to LZD.

Now I am having 2nd thoughts on getting another unit as this screen lines issue is not a new bug and it has been around for sometime and other Xiaomi phones have been afflicted with it too. It's due to hardware failure. Not cool right?

Even my friend's Redmi of less than a year was afflicted with faulty screen now.

I am currently in a dilemma of whether to buy or not because I have already bought the case and the MiBand for it.

You are one of those lucky ones then. It's just frustrating that it's a brandnew phone just out of the box and I can't even enjoy it for a day.    And I am stucked now until I get my money back from LZD before I could go buy another phone.

Did you get yours from Lazada as well? Or was it from Mi Malaysia website? I feel your pain. After all the excitement of finally getting my hands on it. And it's such a hassle to have to return it and now hope LZD would give me that refund and on time too. It's such an eyesore looking at that faulty screen. How not to killjoy leh? Sighhh

But I did love that fingerprint scan. And the phone feels great and light in my hands. Didn't really have much chance to really experience how Miui works. I've heard lots of great things about it which is why I decided to go try out Xiaomi instead of picking up another Samsung phone. My current Samsung has been really sturdy and it has been with me for 4 years already without any hiccups. Still going strong other than the battery power is not as durable these days. If a RM800plus phone could only last you 1 year I don't think that is a cheap phone. Anyhow I think I might brave it and try getting another RN3 as I really wanted to experience Miui and also for the sake of those accessories I have already bought for it.

problem found in my unit as you can see the light come out from inside at bottom left.
Look like the panel or lcd got some 3-5mm "curve up" inside so the light can come out, bad QC.

maybe  updating can help.. will try it once i get some time..

how long did the update take btw? care to share?

oh okay, quite long time didn't buy new phone so didn't know about that

The setting is Preferred LTE means when 4G not available will switch to 3G and so on. Some phone can lock to 4G or 3G only but not in RN3.

Wow didn't know there is secret code on RN3, can you share more on the secret code?

Does RN3 supports LTE-A ?

I'm only aware it supports VoLTE.

Anyone tried speedtest for LTE and got around 120-150mbps ?

miui is lousy. Really do not like it. One of the feature in miui that I really hate is cannot move the apps to sdcard. All apps are tied to the default 2GB system storage. Only can move it if root the phone.

I already install almost 5gb apps, more to come, still have 18gb+- left to install, all pictures to google cloud & still didn't use micro sd & will use micro sd for other purpose, save videos & other stuff

I didnt update yet because I read that V7.2.3.0.LHOMIDA has a lot of issues. Heard it's quite unstable at the moment. Any other feedbacks on V7.2.3.0.LHOMIDA? Is it worth updating?

how is the battery  life? read a few forums saying the latest ROM 7.2.3 decrease battery life vs the previous rom.. any difference for u?

Offical FB apps ok tak?

Yesterday try to snap photo using Panorama. When press start & turn the pano never record. Then try again & again few times. And when after press stop button for pano the photo will not save. Even let it record til the end also never save.

Anybody encounter such problem?

Based on wifu feedback 6 hours SOT ONWARDS on 3g@4g mode.. so far so good. Usage FB/Whatsapp n etc

Full charge 100. Then turn off the phone. When i turn it on back about 2-3hours later. Battery drain 1 or 2 percent. Lulz
