HI, i get some info about warranty cover by none affiliated company with xiaomi.. So far, only Thorus, telco and lazada is Xiaomi affiliated company.

waiting waiting waiting G5 to restock....

The package was about 142MB IIRC. The update took like 15 ~ 20 min. It doesn't seem to be a major update but the time it takes to update makes it like a major update...

I also realize one thing - different app playback at different volume and sound quality.

When I use mi stock music app the output quality is really good, while popular apps like poweramp sound weaker and not as good (not dramatically so), and spotify sounded a lot lower in volume.

But if call volume also need to set to 0 then I would do factory reset before forming conclusion.

Edit: just in case some of your app messing with the audio setting in the system without you noticing it...

when we got the phone from gemfive, the seller is greenfone, 1gadget, or ezibuy, or others.
They take stock from thorus. As long it's Malaysia xiaomi set, it's ok.
Since the phone is just released 1 week, even they keep the stock before launch, you only lost one or weeks warranty.

From my experience, all my gadget, phone, printer, computer, they all refer to purchase date. Same goes to electrical shop.
unless xiaomi got their own policy.

put some WD-40 or minyak angin on tissue/cloth, rub softly, it will come off nicely.

i think xiaomi have their own policy. As in the conversation, very obvious we will lose weeks of warranty ( i got redmi note 3 from 1gadget which does not have Thorus Sticker).

no, even the seller bundle with sp & case, you have to DIY.

FYi need to tune down to 0.

Probably my in ear resistance very low.

My Poweramp very loud also. Setting below. Beyond that my ear will bleed.
