lol my 4790k hit 100c when rendering my 3d scene with stock cooler.

changed to hyper212x it dropped to 80c but still damn hot

Get a water cooler bro, it seems that air cooler has its own limit haha. Go for a Cooler Master or NZXT 2 in 1 solution lol

Haha I am talking about doggydogg's case though. For your case, did you check if your chassis has enough ventilation or not (like air flow and stuff), but usually I hardly hear of this temp unless you overclock your cpu lol

i googled and looks like the Tj max is 100'C...so it should be ok for your temp to be around 80+ degC ...still got some buffer... smile.gif

im using a 4790k. vcore 1.35v 4.8Ghz. temp reaches 100C when running prime95. even though its cooled by a 540mm radiator + 120mm thick radiator. fans always at low speed though.

 

Change to:
