 Going to port out from Maxis to celcom, Gold with new phone ..

Hello .. Good afternoon

I am going to port out and sign in with gold on celcom with new phone option with protection RM 175 x 12 = 2100 for S7 edge ..


Please ..advice me .. If I am wrong .. !!!

You need not to be a genius to do this calculation ..2100 is cheaper then buying this S7 edge ... .. After all .. Come next year .. I have the option to change new phone ...

Please please share your comment ..

You're wrong. RM175 is for 24 mth = RM4,200.

The 12 month means you can change your phone every 12 month and the contract will extend another 24 month.

If you didn't want to change to the new phone at 12 month, you need to continue pay rm175 for another 12 month and the phone will be yours.

Yes you can change phone every year (hopes for no damage) but at the end you will still need to pay for 24 month when you want to quit the plan.

for me.. rule of thumb, never bind yourself to any sorts of contract
want new phone? save up and terus buy at directd or satugadget one shot
then go sign up for data plans..

can lompat telco here and there.

sialkom now looks good because of maxshit punya problem
who knows what sialkom will do next time

btw, i just ported out of maxis to celcom first gold 80
had been a loyal 15 years maxis user.

Yes .. I had checked with with celcom .. The 175 is to x 24 payment ..

Even with 4200 paid by 24 months .. Which on the terms said very clear that I can change my phone after 12 month ..by then .. I assume phone coming up next year will be higher spec .. And surely will not be less then the S 7 edge right now in term of the dollar and cents ..

Hello .. Just to share share my experiences today at Maxis Pavillion ...

I was at Maxis store this evening ...
Telling them I am not happy with my account ( one plan lite 78 ringgit , 1 g data .. Free Maxis / hotline calls ) with I signed by nearly 2 years ago .. Which going to expire by June 2016 ...


I told them about the $$ war going Around and I intended to port out to celcom .. Which is located just opposite maxis store Pavillion ...


And guess what .. !! The supervisor in charge do not even bother about saving me ..she saying that's noting she can do about it .. I am the consumers .. I can make whatever choice I like ... .. And I question her .. As what offer she can offer me to retain me ...

Guess what .. She offer me noting ..instead she offer me to upgrade my plan ..


At this moment .. I blow my head .. And I told her to look at my back ..as I walked opposite to celcom ...

From the supervisor point of view a lost in a single customer isn't going to affect them..only that if the top mgmt knew then it would be trouble

Yes totally agreed that is no issue... !!

But ..if you are paying good earned $$ to the company .. ( mAxis )
In return for a reasonable services .. ( offer ) .. And even putting me on their loyalty customers list ..

Then .. It is not about what I Suka .. Or what I tak Suka ...

The marketing team of Maxis has a DUTY to provide the so called loyalty customers like me or you ...an awareness
Of what their product is good for ....

And NOT taking us for a rides .. When the $$ war of telcos company is already at spread ....

Anyway ... To prove that .. Maxis is at fault.. On this $$ War issue ..

I received a sms today .. Saying that they are doing something to improve their data services .. By giving me a higher quota of data usage ...


At least .. After the bising bising .. From me .. I got the offer ...

Yes agreed. That the supervisor .. Cannot do much for me ...

But .. I am very very sure the top management .. Are very well aware of this problem .. Bcos.

Me and my wife maxis line got a sms from them .. Today .. With much of good news .. ( a higher quota of data usage )

your situation was like forcing them to give you good offer or else you will leaving to other telco and yet you complaining here because they dont give what you want

that's like you are using unifi and found out maxis is having better value for the package and you ask unifi to give you better offer

i always believe having a stiff competitor is always good to customer

ps: i am a maxis user and also looking to port out to digi soon. whoever giving me a better deal then there's where i belong

they are open for business and is their loss for not offering similar plans and prices compare to other telcos.

anyway, the maxis centre dont have the "decision" to do the free upgrade though. only the customer service from call centre able to consider the request

Just move on. How much you pay monthly for them? Let's check mine,

- SurfMore (75+50) + 5gb 50 + call 12 = RM187/mth (till Sept15)
- Maxisone (158 +128) + zerolution 93 = RM379/mth (till Feb 16)
- Good payment record (always after bill is available)

Then i heard someone who is using surfmore 50 and surfmore 75 got the counter offer by porting out. So i port out to Celcom 1st gold, but no counter offer for me at all from them. You will feel much better if you port out compared to begging for the counter offer.

Because the offer from Celcom is too good, no regret at all from me. You can just always port in back to maxis when they offer the new plan. That's what i'm waiting for.

Currently i'm using Digi 78 because of 7gb all day data.

i don't really care about your drama but do you need to pay penalty or not since your contract will expire in june 2016?
my contract will expire in september,, if penalty like RM100 or so i'd rather pay the penalty and port out now.

in fact they are giving free 3GB data starting tomorrow... the new data quota increase will commence next month i guess.

You and a bunch of other Maxis customers get the wrong idea by going to a Maxis center and act all-so-important and threaten them to offer you something or you will port out. Do you think employees in the center give a flying cake whether you want to stay or leave when they have a queue behind you?

From experience the only people who manage to get an alternative plan is by calling in 123 and telling them you want to quit. They have a supervisor/boss behind and for every customer they retain they get something in return. On the phone they can check your account, spending and your eligibility and offer you a package and make adjustments immediately if they feel you are worth retaining.

If you are not happy, just port out lah don't try to bargain like pasar malam. shakehead.gif

I think this issue has gotten out of hand to a point that customers are somehow "threatening" to port out if not offered something good. As mentioned, if you're really unhappy with Maxis then port out, otherwise can stop threatening them to give a special offer.

hi, i m also planning to port to Celcom as the Gold plan is so much cheaper and better than my current package.

However, read a lot of negative remarks about their roaming charges although data is off. I never had this problem with Maxis (surfmore plan with Note 3 plan).

With the poor customer service and unreasonable charges for roaming, it is still worth while to port to Celcom?

Don't act cheap. You don't like, just switch.
Maxis has the right to not offer you anything and you have the right to not choose them.

they just working for Maxis..what do you expect from them as an employee ....those retaining offers for selected one comes from HQ..not from their branch.even the branch manager cant do anything as they have no authority to do anything except following order from HQ.
if you want get their attention,maybe you should contact them through maxis facebook.
