If i'm not mistakened, LCCI is equivalent to a diploma in accountancy. If you just want to know the basics of accountancy, then i guess LCCI is the way to go. It takes only 1 year to complete if i'm not mistakened.
Depending on what are you working as, you can perhaps consider Management based course instead? Coz LCCI and ACCA are both accounting courses. May not be relevant to what you're doing. But hey, it's always good to improve yourself right?

QUOTE(Teong @ Jan 5 2007, 10:45 AM) LCCI is never an equivalent to a diploma in accountancy. At best, you get 2 semester exemptions for diploma in accountancy. LCCI is a professional certificate equivalent to foundation level studies. It depends on what you want to be. To be an accounts clerk: take the LCCI. To be an accountant, and MIA member: take the ACCA To know more about business: take a diploma in business or even some short courses. Better still, read business books. Really?? I've been told it is.. Guess i was wrong.. QUOTE(rstusa @ Jan 5 2007, 02:12 PM) If i graduated under LCCI, come out to find job, estimate how much the higest salary can get? Depending on the firm i guess and what you working as.. I think the industrial standard for LCCI is RM1000 to 1400?

QUOTE(rstusa @ Jan 5 2007, 03:23 PM) I want to know that is it study accounting more base on theory or practical? If you're referring to ACCA, it's more of a mixture of both.. Normally theory is good enough for you to pass it.. But of course you'll have an added advantage (albeit to a certain extent) if you have the practical know how.. QUOTE(joey85 @ Jan 5 2007, 06:10 PM) ACCA is more professional.....although is harder to study...but it is more recognizable ACCA is more professional as compared to what? LCCI? Well, of course it is.. It's a more advanced paper..
