20% performance gain is not just coming from a $11 OBD chip, it probably make the shifting point higher thus you feel more torque at each shift

since it is cheap, you can try and let us know the results tongue.gif

frankly... even on same cars with diferent trims, there are usually some other differences with the hardware if you go into the details...

its dirt cheap so... u can buy it and try...

remember to dyno BEFORE and after installation...

*real dyno please, not butt dyno

Bro people spent around rm3000 to gain 30hp from a turbo car..

Do u think this device that cost around 8dollars will increase 20% performance of the car?

if this works then VW will not have to resort to the defeat device (i know the dieselgate scandal related to emission, but power vs emission is an key component of the scandal).

Don't bother playing with cars. There is a right way, and then there is the Ah Beng way. No prize for guessing which way you're headed to.

Ehh car tuning houses do offer that kind of service....

Really depends on your ecu... Some older ones are not mapable...
And if you are serious, there is always the standalone (this is IMO, the best way to really tune an engine)

ECU mapping not recommended...and costly about 2-3k...furthermore it's not guaranteed and comes with risk..if ECU go wrong during remap then replacement is abt 10k....

will just live the way it is...

closing this thread..

thanks everyone

haha okay... but thats why you need tuners who are good.... imo its better than using whatever chips there are in the market since it gives you full control.... none of these chips have any guaranties anyway.... ecu cost really depends on the car.... and a standalone ecu will cost you more than 2-3k

ECU mapping on a FI car, sure.

On a NA car, the gains are not worth the money you pay, unless you accompany it with hardware mods as well.
