Its always better to quote only for paint work, tell them you will choose and buy your own paint. If they get something for you, they will always try to get cheaper, unless he is a relative and you trust him absolutely. Else, next time if you want to touch up, you may not be able to get the same color back, if he is using some different blend. The paint cost is similar so should not be problem if you buy it.
