hi there, does anyone know whether i can submit simultaneous BT applications using the same CC statements?
For instance, supposing I owe Bank A RM2000 and Bank B RM1000, can I submit A and B's statements to bank C and D at the same time? Will each of them give me RM3000?

i never missed any CC payments, and I currently have 2 0% BT plans active. Debts are manageable. I noticed my initial credit cards gave me 3x (e.g. MBB, PBB, CIMB) but now they only offer me 1.5x to 2x (e.g. UOB, alliance). aeon only gave me a measly 1.01 times!
However I have quite a few dormant cards which I mainly applied for free gifts and/or have zero annual fees.

QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Oct 11 2016, 11:54 AM) Hmmm. Everything sounds pretty good and similar to me, so your situation is quite strange. Have you tried looking at your CCRIS report in case there are any anomalies there? My UOB and AEON limits are quite reasonable, even though I only hold those very basic cards like UOB VOX (RM70k) and New AEON Gold (RM80k). I did the same like you to apply for cards just to get free gifts or cashback (e.g. HSBC, Alliance and Stan Chart). However, once I get the cashback or gift, I will cancel immediately rather than holding a dormant card for so long. Why not you try that? Then you have the bonus of being able to reapply after the cooling off period as new-to-bank customer and get free stuff again. haven't done a CCRIS yet but I think I should do one soon. Seems these BT might affect my debt service ratio as advised by an Alliance Bank officer, even if I am not late with payments. thanks for the suggestion. I was thinking of keeping those cards in case there are any bank promotions but I suppose the drawbacks outweigh the benefits. If you don't mind me asking, what was the maximum multiplier for CL that you have received? mine was only around 3.3 times offered by PBB.

I have applied for a manual transfer (from CC to CASA) from MBB, PBB and HSBC. MBB took 8 working days, PBB 7 and HSBC 6. PBB charged me RM2 for transfer to other banks. Only PBB asked me for documentation (bank statement of other bank).
I tried asking CIMB, but they said that I would need to give them evidence that I overpaid, and that they will only refund the monies back to the same CC that I transferred from. Even when I asked what happens if I cancelled my CC, they still insisted that they will only pay back the balance to the same source the money originated from. I wonder if there would be any issues for the donor CC to receive back money from the donee CC, and later I request for another manual transfer from the donor CC to the donor CASA?

QUOTE(CalvinCLK @ Nov 26 2016, 12:00 PM) Is there a 0% interest 6 months BT for Hong Leong Bank CC? Edit: I checked first post, 0% interest but 6.99% one time fee. I think there is a 0% and 0% one time fee BT available for new cardholders over 6 months (https://www.hlb.com.my/main/assets/files/BT_new-0pc-tnc.pdf). plan to get a new HLB card with no annual fees (Hong Leong I'm Card perhaps?) to take advantage of this BT. anyone knows where freebies are given for new HLB cards?

QUOTE(chiahau @ May 2 2017, 01:33 PM) Okay thank you. Anyone else? We still missing UOB, SC, RHB, AmBank, Affin, Bank Islam To recap - MBB - Below 10k. HLB - Return to source of money ( No charges ) PBB - Reluctant to allow. CIMB - Return to source of money ( 2 ringgit + GST) If return to source of money, meaning they will send back the money to MBB credit card and you can request cash out to your CASA? I used UOB quite a few times already to refund the monies to MBB (charges RM0.11 for IBG). However on my most recent attempt they politely told me not to repeat this in the future.

QUOTE(chiahau @ May 2 2017, 09:22 PM) Noted on that HLB part. I believe HLB is getting more strict already. Politely means still doable Can UOB cash out to CASA? I dun think you have an account with them which is why you opt to refund the balance to MBB to cash out instead? Yup, I don't have a savings account with them but I believe you can easily transfer the monies to your UOB CASA if you did. However, I am prepared to cancel my UOB CC and force a refund in case they deny me in the future.

QUOTE(kyle_kl @ Jul 7 2017, 10:43 AM) I also just find out this in their t&c. The t&c is at the bottom of the page: https://www.sc.com/my/campaign/balance-transfer-plus/, click on the "For employee banking customer...." What a horrible place to put the T&C! I don't think many would intuitively know that the expandable panel is for the T&C.

QUOTE(paogeh @ Oct 24 2017, 04:10 PM) Thank you all for the fast + helpful replies. So, in summary , it;s better to wait for the BT to complete before start a new one ? Eg, 6months BT , start new after 6 months. IMO, overlapping balance transfers are always better due to opportunity costs (more flexibility with your cash) and the time value of money (earn extra money from FD, cash management, housing loan interest, etc). Note that MBB, PBB allows for overlapping BTs while Aeon doesn't.

QUOTE(besiegetank @ Oct 25 2017, 09:59 PM) Overlapping BT means can apply new BT before previous one expire? So far I only know that MBB BT can apply before statement is out. Can PBB and Aeon BT do the same? Yup, basically its concurrent BTs active at the same time. PBB is fine, as long as your CC has sufficient balance. For Aeon, they will only allow you to perform another BT once your previous BT's final installment is posted to your CC.
