Got the 3% fee credited back to me today for my Maybank BT. So it took about 2 weeks for me.

Anyone has experience with Hong Leong balance transfer? I’ve made my first balance transfer and under my statement, they created another account number. Also I can’t find how much I should pay for the balance transfer?

I find HLB a little confusing as it does not state the tenure I have taken, interest rate etc.

Too many factors. If bank profiles you as high risk, usually it will be no more than 1.5x your monthly salary. Anything higher will depend on the credit officer.

When you say last month meaning the last statement cycle right? Example my BT expiry is on the 1st February and my new statement cycle is 25th, so I can pay off my BT in full anytime from 25th January until 1st February?

They will just calculate RM10,000 + 14.85% / 36 months = RM319.03 (your monthly repayment)

Oops my bad, I did not read the RM2000 is per bank. I was trying to BT to a few banks and one of the banks was less than RM2000 hence they are unable to proceed. I'll have to resubmit the application.

Just submitted my application for Affin today as well. Hopefully will be approved with decent credit limit to take advantage of 0% BT for 12 months.
