Anyone has experience with Hong Leong balance transfer? I’ve made my first balance transfer and under my statement, they created another account number. Also I can’t find how much I should pay for the balance transfer?

QUOTE(barneysteinsson @ Jul 3 2018, 12:39 PM) guys, quick question Too many factors. If bank profiles you as high risk, usually it will be no more than 1.5x your monthly salary. Anything higher will depend on the credit officer.if salary is 4k per month, how much max credit limit could bank give ? now cimb gave me 10k, bsn 5k, maybank 5k wanna increase my credit limit for bt |

QUOTE If the Eligible Cardholder fully settles the BT Amount before expiry of the chosen BT tenure, an early settlement penalty of RM70.00 will be charged to the Eligible Cardholder’s BT Account. Anyone have experience with Hong Leong Bank balance transfer? Regarding this clause, what is deemed early settlement? If I have two more months to go but now I transfer funds for the remaining 2 months to the BT account, will it be counted as early settlement by their system? |

QUOTE(smartly @ Jan 22 2019, 12:09 AM) pay on the last month of the BT account should be ok not before that and need not to wait till last day to settle. i have clarified with cs, they told me any date on last month before due date should be fined. QUOTE(guy3288 @ Jan 22 2019, 01:00 AM) yes, no need to worry which exact date to clear all. pay within the last month on any day before expiry date also ok, no penalty. I screensht the reply as proof just in case. When you say last month meaning the last statement cycle right? Example my BT expiry is on the 1st February and my new statement cycle is 25th, so I can pay off my BT in full anytime from 25th January until 1st February?Easy, just chat with HL connect senior, dont talk to robot, ask for senior, then screenshot her reply as proof that you wont get penalty when pay all "ealier" |

QUOTE(deanitro @ Jan 25 2019, 10:19 AM) which one is better, "4.95% p.a. and no one-time upfront handling fee"let say 10k, for 36 months. "4.95% p.a. and no one-time upfront handling fee" or "0% p.a. and 7% one-time upfront handling fee" Total 14.85% interest since you’re taking 3 years. or "0% p.a. and 7% one-time upfront handling fee" 7% interest since it is one-time only. |

QUOTE(celaw @ Jan 29 2019, 06:08 PM) Oops my bad, I did not read the RM2000 is per bank. I was trying to BT to a few banks and one of the banks was less than RM2000 hence they are unable to proceed. I'll have to resubmit the application. |
