ok so im looking at :
1) Public Bank : 1 yr, one time 2.5% fee, Min - 1k per bank, Valid Until : 30/6/2012 (extended until further notice)

2) BSN : 12 mths, 0% fee, 0.3% interest/mth w/ 0% last 6 mths, Min - RM 1k per bank, Valid Until : 30/4/2013 (but BSN say so far always auto extend)

For no 1 if follow the scenario above can I assume RM1K + 2.5% (1 time) = 1025, then RM1025/12mth = RM85.42 per month.

For no 2 follow again same scenario, RM1K + (0.3% x 6) = 1018, next 6 mtn no interest so RM1018/12mth = RM84.83 per month.

Just to confirm my the above calculation correct or not, if yes then look like save a bit on option no 2, hope not left out anything like hidden charges...  hmm.gif

Pick Public Bank, as it offers 0% interest. When you applied for RM1000 balance transfer, they would immediately charge you 2.5% ie RM25 for the first month. For the next 11 months, the monthly instalment would be 1000/12= RM83.33

Eg: You start applying in January 2018

Jan 2018: RM83.33 + RM25 = RM108.33
Feb 2018 to Dec 2018: RM83.33 per month.

Make sure pay in full every month. I've been using Public Bank balance transfer for more than 5 or 6 times, and there are no hidden charges.

I don't recommend balance transfer programme that has interest rate like BSN. 0.3% per month may look small, but they don't actually calculate it like that. For more accurate calculation, please call BSN bank officer. But I think I can assure you that, there might be some hidden charges in there.

Got a call from Hong Leong last week. Balance transfer for 6 month, 0%. Best thing is money is credited directly to Hong Leong CASA. So it's effectively 0% 6 month personal loan. smile.gif

Apply on HLB Connect?

The promotion didn't appear on my HL Connect and I also couldn't find it on Hong Leong website.

But the T&C stated it's available for all existing HLB card members. U may try your luck and call Hong Leong.

Nowadays most banks dont allow to withraw balance amount in CC to CASA, unless you terminate the card. Cannot BT to car loan.

Just BT to another card, then use that card for future transactions.
