Posting date Transaction date Description Foreign currency Local currency
Debit Credit Debit Credit
24-Apr-2018 24-Apr-2018 BT Cash Back - Jan18 RM33.92
24-Apr-2018 24-Apr-2018 BT Cash Back - Dec17 RM30.84

Mine too BUT, based on the description, i think it's because MBB charged and forgot to reverse the 3% last time

fruitie said she wasn't charged for 3% at all!

Weird that my March BT does not charge any fee in the statement or transaction, hence reversal is not relevant  hmm.gif

Moreover, rough calculation shows that this is about 0.5% of the BT amount? (highest single card BT)

Plus I did BT for both M2C and ikhwan, but i only receive this for ikhwan  hmm.gif

[quote=AIYH,Apr 26 2018, 10:35 AM]

All my BTs was via Amex
& Amex's cash back is different entry than the BT cash back above.
hm.. weird.. but happy tongue.gif

system error in posting? or coz we hit certain threshold of owing MBB, thus rewarded? bwhahaah

Ya no discipline really can't simply BT. previously I really swipe too much and BT all and mess myself up. Have to withdraw fund from my investment to pay cc debt
Have been refrain from spending and BT for a while, now the feeling of debt is gone, and start to discipline myself

Wonder if AKPK people can see our outstanding amount? Cause I always receive call from them  rclxub.gif
*
Those are not AKPK ppl, just "agent" trying to make $ saying they are AKPK and "can help us" reduce our monthly payments. I think some folks are selling our data - those with kaka load of credit card debts, like me tongue.gif - whenever i do a bunch of BT, sure get several calls from "AKPK agent" heheh, even though my CCRIS consist of zeroes.

BTW, same method with CELCOM, MAXIS, DIGI "agents" calling - not from the telco but are dealers. wink.gif

Based on the above example, let's say the statement payment due date was stated as 3 Oct 2017.

I guess it is safe to say that on the final BT month, we should pay the minimum amount on the statement payment due date and clear the remaining balance on the expiry date + 1.

According to the TnC below:-
*
yup on "we should pay the minimum amount on the statement payment due date "
but
er.. why +1? "clear the remaining balance on the expiry date + 1."

it's "on due date" to clear, not +1 or -1, unless one wants to pay % or some cost, right?

Lets said your BT expiry date is 13 Oct 2018......this means your account statement also closed at 13th of the month.

Lets said the the BT account's outstanding is 10K
14 Oct you start with new bill cycle
Your 14 Sep - 13 Oct Oct statement will show payment due date 1 Nov 2018

To avoid any interest,  u must settle this 10K by 14 Oct 2018 instead of 1 Nov 2018 to avoid any interest charges.
*
er.. correct me if i'm mistaken, in summary - U mean 1 day BEFORE next statement date & not the "normal statement +20days", right?

that's what HLB Customer Service clarified to me too - 3x i called bwhaha (have a lot of BT owed & several end dates ma, worried) sweat.gif

What I meant was..

As we all know, HLB creates a BT account for every approved BT application.

I wanted to settle the outstanding balance in the HLB BT account by balance transfer to PBB CC.

Because of the HLB BT account is not a CC account, will PBB accept the BT application?

Thanks.
*
Yes, PBB accepts BT from HLB's BT accounts - i've been whacking that sweet stuff for months now bwhahaah

So, if you have yet to start saving since February 2018, you better start now! I have warned you but if you are stubborn and burn your money away on non essential stuff especially utilizing 0% Installment Plans, then you are just inviting headaches (headache is a very "soft" word as it will be mentally torturing wondering how to put food on the table for your loved ones) when we are in a recession. Avoid unnecessary debts at all cost and that includes 0% Balance Transfer.
*
er.. sorry to disagree on the Avoid unnecessary debts at all cost and that includes 0% Balance Transfer.
if kaka is going to happen ANYWAY, best to take as much 0% as possible, thus having liquidity BEFORE BEING CUT OFF from the 0% when financial institutions tightens their lending, right or right?

IMHO, it all depends on how one uses the liquidity, not just blindly avoiding due to fear/greed.

guys, for mbb bt, can we choose HL Balance transfer Account as one of the card? what is the card type for it. ??

I've tried MBB ONLINE a few months back - the numbers of the HL BT A/Cs (yes i've several BTs running tongue.gif ) cannot be verified/processed by MBB Online BT.
U can try online and see, dont worry, IF can't go through it'll tell why.

Via email/form - i'm unsure, never done before

Yes. Possible. Last time bank more strict on asking us to show bank statement for BT. Now no more. U just write the amount u want to BT. I know Mbb. Uob. Hong leong. Ambank no need show statement as my experience with them only. May be bank eat their own bullets as not many people got out standing need to BT so their BT not laku. So, they just let u BT as u like n hope u fall into their trap. tongue.gif

I guess those who already got big out standing cannot pay back, bank already earning the 18% interest. So, amother bank want to take over the business n let u BT over there, and allow u BT more than the out standing amount. This they know that the customer most likely will have bigger trouble paying back later and earn from late fees, interest etc
*
Apologies for off-tangent a bit ya - not purely on BT on BT caused DSR notworthy.gif

Another possible pitfall, other than falling into the 18% when cannot payup the BTs:
Debt Service Ratio = >=90%+ thus if wanna get home loan, car loan or any typical big loans, ON PAPER, automatically koyak

Any experts know how to "fix" DSR issue if one has >90%+ DSR but cash flow & liquid assets-wise can prove no issue?
Just planning ahead heheh since mine more than meletup liao based on https://www.propertyguru.com.my/mortgageprequalifier# (it didnt even list several of my BTs done a few months back tongue.gif )

Note, for fellow forumers who intends to check their loan eligibility using that PropertyGuru thing, U need to upload IC ya - thus, warning in advance for "data privacy sensitive" folks. Me, i'm just an average joe thus, nothing much to hide/worry sweat.gif

Note 2 - i'm not affiliated/related to PropertyGuru, CTOS & whatever used for that website. Just a user, testing & planning ahead.

i had check with multiple banks around 2015, there wasn't really not much "fix", despite my FDs total to 6 figure and at time of application.
However getting an good banker with experience complex profile would make huge difference.
pledging FDs and restructure/reduce debt (reduce it with cash.. kinda unless as it defeats the purpose to me) were some of the advice i got.

i ended up early settlement for some BTs and other mortgage to reduce DSR.

if anyone wish to discuss further, please reply in the mortgage thread instead and tag me there smile.gif

hehe - ya, defeats the purpose of 0% free munnee sitting in investments & FDs tongue.gif

---
Anyhow, to further our fellow forumers' cashflow options, sharing what just occurred to me / what i just found out (yes, i'm slow sweat.gif ):
1. HLB Credit cards:
Per transaction OR per statement balance - if above $1K or $2K (mine's always above that with HLB), one can go online and convert to flexi payment ZERO 0% for 12 months via online.
Ya - no need to bother BT-ing to MBB or PB laugh.gif
This is NOT openly stated in website i think - i called to clarify further after receiving email/sms.

2. PB Quantum cards: https://www.pbebank.com/Personal-Banking/Ca...edit-Cards.aspx
Copied bulat bulat from their website & pasted below:
0% for 12 months with minimum purchase of RM1,200
Easy way to convert to PB Flexipay Plan:
Call: 03-2176 8000
Email: custsvc@publicbank.com.my

Ya- again, no nee to bother BT-ing AND 12 months summor rclxm9.gif (vs norm 6 mths PB's BT offer)

Just sharing - got an email from PB:
Hhehe - now, even PB (all cards) allow conversion into FlexiPayment 0% & $0 cost (minimum $1.5K), just like HLB. BUT.. PB's only 6 months VS HLB's 12 months

Unsure this has been shared before, thus just to share:
HLB's conversion to Flexi Payment is different mechanism than normal HLB's BT - it's wrapped into the credit card's account itself, NOT new account like BTs, making it payable via MBB's BT tongue.gif (the musical chair of BT to BT continues, i owe, i owe, off to work i go laugh.gif )

Example of HLB's Flexi Payment converted to 0% 12 months below, which is from the credit card's account itself:
Attached Image

Also to share:
Do NOT apply 2x per day to MBB's BT online. The second one will fail - system limitations
eg.
1. Wanted to apply $20K BT but per application max is $18K, thus did 1st BT application $17K,
then AFTER 1st has completed,
did 2nd BT (not add 2nd card into same application ya)

2. Several months back, did 1 application $5K+
then later on same day, did another $2K+ (just received another CC statement).
2nd one failed

The additional problem with 2nd one failing = the email from MBB just says it failed but WHICH it? first or second? Had to call MBB to clarify laugh.gif
Last time, i thought it was some credit issue but this round, i was sure it wasnt, thus asked Customer Service WHY, and got the info above on system limitations - do NOT apply more than 1 time per day.
