I did email CS on the 6 mths 0% BT promo and they got back to me that I am eligible despite not getting the SMS. Someone from the telemarketing dept will call you and offer the BT.
*
Ah, that's great that they extend to others that did not receive any sms.

May I know u use what reason to increase CL?  Any documents need to submit?  TQVM.
*
You do not need to give reasons to request for CL increase.
You have to fill up a form, together with income documente and epf statements. Fax or submit to branch.
I submitted to branch and my CL was increased in 3 working days although they told me the SLA is 21 working days.

QUOTE(mamamia @ May 12 2017, 02:26 PM)
That interest free loan work like BT, it is called BT Plus which they offered me last time... when i check with the staff, they said now only applicale to new cardholder.. r u the new cardholder?
*
I am existing card holder and i was offered this BT which can be transferred to my Savings acc. The CS say this is another type of BT (she did not use the name BT Plus). Applied and funds was transferred to my savings within 3 working days as well.
Oh by the way, she told me, this is applicable to amount > rm15K. If less than that, cannot transfer to savings.

Thank you for your reply.
I understand by submit the documents is SOP to increase CL.  The reason I ask him about the process is to find out any shortcut for CL increase as he din mention about whether was permanent or temporary increase.  smile.gif
I also experienced one foreign brand bank did increase my CL by reply sms past two years.
*
I ask them too , over phone with CS and at branch. They are quite strict and no short cut. They dont even entertain email request . :|

Welcome bro.
I strongly suggest you read the thread to get all the info you will need. It's kind of hard to tell you as there are so many info from different contributors .

Hi, recently i went to HLB to collect my MACH credit card. However, that person asked me to to BT as this month is my birthday month, they offer 4.99% for the balance transfer. I am having an agreement with AEON as i bought my phone via Aeon installment plan. Is is possible to get the BT from HLB for CASH. Then I fully pay me Aeon isntallment? Mind i ask out of topic question, does AEON charge for early settlement? Sorry if i am posting in a wrong place.
*
Why you want to pay off your 0% interest free aeon installment, to get a birthday gift of 4.99% pa BT ?

Since no announcement on their website , i'll apply another one today. I feel it's like 50/50 chance now though

OH really. Cause they person in counter just mentioned birthday month only. Thanks though.
My AEON does not give 0% interest though. It was like 1.55 per month. Thats really high.  But anyway, I am new to this, lesson learnt.
*
Sorry just saw this. Aeon not 0% interest? Then bettet ask if settle early will get any benefit. 1.55% is really high and i believe is fixed interest too. If aeon 1.5% per month installment can be clearer early to save interest paid, then yes you can check out the 0% BT to settle it. All the best bro

QUOTE(sendohz @ Jun 17 2017, 08:41 AM)
Hmm that's worrisome.
Need to BT a big chunck this month after my oversea trip.
*
Bro, i have an idea for you. BT the estimate expenditure amount now rather than wait till your trip.
smile.gif
You may even break into 2 part:
1) confirm spending - do it now and hope waiver is still on (like i say, i feel it's 50/50 chance)
2) not confirm spending - do it after trip, if the waiver still on.

I just did 1 yesterday night and gotten success confirmation within 10 mins (to be exact is 6 mins)
I just hope once it is depleted, they will put a notice to their website to inform public asap.

Agree. In fact which bank allows transfer of excess, is not really related to BT.
The bank policy can also change overnight and it's not fair for TS to keep track of this too.

Really? funny they nvr advertise on their webpage anymore.

they started with 10k / customer

then later the lady whatsapp me saying can hentam. I hentam 96% of my CL.

Yea, weird. They actually have official fliers & brochures, but not published online

I pass by RHB booth every working day in MV and none of the staff will approach me. This same goes to all other booths in MV for e.g. UOB, HSBC and SCB. doh.gif Even when I'm outside also not approached by these agents. Face problem? Looks too poor? Or young look? laugh.gif Even my colleagues and friends find this funny and I have the most cards among them.

Nevertheless, if I know it has good promo, I may consider but well I don't like to approach them. If apply directly via bank, I supposed will also have.
*
You must be lookong young. Positive. smile.gif
And i am very thick face uncle. Alwiz go and ask what they can offer me. They sometimes have special items that is not openly displayed. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(bearbear @ Jun 27 2017, 04:59 PM)
not sure what kind of commission she gets, it was only a platinum card and i leech on their 0% BT laugh.gif
*
She'll probably get commission for new card applicant, but BT and all doesnt fall to her branch. It's a card facility and doesnt impact her even if you leech it.

To be honest, the very important key is - how much is your friend earning per annum, whether he can apply for new cards to do BT etc depends on that.
Since your friend did not miss any payment, should not fall into bad credit score that much.
For example, some of us here have so much balance in credit card account (due to BT) but with prompt payments and adequate income, there's no problem applying for new cards.
Anyhow no harm trying since not much damage compare to currrnt situation.
So, good choice for BT would be 0% ambank, pbb, aeon. But application is super strict and stingy credit limit
Now ambank also have 0% bt for 1 year. Which may suit your friend. Ambank have generous CL, hopefully easier to get approval too.
So i suggest your friend to try ambank first.
Note: applying too many will kind of leave an 'enquiry' to the credit report. So i suggest to prioritize your friend's application to the banks that are easier to get, ie in my opinion ambank > aeon > pbb.
In fact i would not try aeon & pbb if ambank fails. Might scout for other banks first even though may not have 0% bt.

Yes, here it is.

QUOTE(thecoffeeguy @ Jun 28 2017, 02:02 PM)
thanks for the insight. government servant, earning about 3.5k per mth.. tried looking at ambank's website but I only see the 4.99% / 8.99% one? or should walk in for further info?

Actually in his case, is it wiser to stop using and pay off till the 5k is finished, or to do BT in the first place?  sweat.gif
*
1. Link as above.
2. If u ask me, do BT if possible to spend less on interested. If get 0% then it's best.
Stop using & pay off - this is very subjective. To make it simple, stop using it. For more technical users, maybe different story but well, get your friend to dig himself out of the hole first. This is so vital for his future.

QUOTE(bearbear @ Jun 28 2017, 02:22 PM)
i think ambank one is new to bank customer only?

even got free gift if you BT certain amount.
*
Yep, BT 0% up to 30K or 80% CL, and free gift somemore. Happy.
