He means - if you didn't do the balance transfer to AEON, but instead paid off other cards / paid excess to SA (and then refund) then:

1. You would have got 5-6% (in his case, he used 5%) of RM6,500 by paying off your AEON CC with CIMB CR / PBB VS / YOLO

2. Minus the POS ONLINE fees of 2.12%

While his strategy makes a lot of sense, I understand your position and why you transferred your AEON balance to MBB. To pay off RM6,500 with online cashback cards means you need to have loads of principals and supps for each type of card (which he has). But from my understanding, you usually max out your cards, and don't have enough for the RM6,500.

In summary - you did the most efficient thing with the cards in your possession.

I'm just wondering how did the 325 came into the picture. tongue.gif

Anyway, this is the best I can do so far for my outstanding amount. laugh.gif

He's saying 5% cashback x RM6,500, but have to minus off the POS ONLINE fees.

Using all his cards, that would have been his return. However, not many of us have enough cards to cover the RM6,500.

Yeah, I don't have so many cards to play with. sad.gif

Since UOB statement is also generated today, I just included together with my AEON statement. Gotta be 12-month of slave to Maybank. tongue.gif Now hope everything is fine...

Thanks rapple. Or else, I'd just BT less then pay the difference using cash.
*
Just do it fast. Apply via email, will straight waive 3% (if there is still quota). If apply online, may need to wait for a while for the 3% waiver.

Yup, will do. Where I am, the PTPTN office will open on Sunday. I'll pay then send email. Hopefully hear something from them the next day or two.

If someone could just tell me what the email address [method] is... The mgcc address?

3.6M fee waiver is a lot  laugh.gif

If the fee is 3%, then total promo BT quota should be RM360 million  whistling.gif
*
Oh, so it s not RM 3.6M quota for BT? It is for the fees only? Then quite safe for now. laugh.gif

Hi, has MBB transfer the funds to your Aeon account? Was it viewable already on Aeon online transaction? Thanks
*
Yes. I just checked under "Past Transaction", I can see it posted today. My UOB also posted yesterday. biggrin.gif

My experience:
14-11-2016: Submitted application in the evening via email
15-11-2016: Received acknowledgement email
16-11-2016: Received approval SMS
17-11-2016: Fund transferred and posted on UOB
18-11-2016: Fund transferred and posted on AEON

Very pleasant experience. biggrin.gif

OK, found mine after checking on "Past Transaction"... was looking on "Unbilled Transaction" all this while...
Why I'm so nervous, here's the truth... before i ask here that day for aeon transfer, i'm trying luck by apply online, selecting "Citibank"...
After saw you all mentioned apply via email, next day i call MBB CS, they tell me now under credit team processing, they can't do anything, even if i request terminate it so i resend via email later. They told me no, Aeon Credit wasn't in the list for this Balance Transfer programme.
Ok, then i wait, so received the STP request approved SMS, which I thought maybe CS inform them to terminate my transaction.
ytd again SMS inform me the funds transferred to Citibank.

so that's the drama...
*
Yeah, I also didn't see anything under Unbilled Transactions and I remember they already revamp the page and somehow it will be shown in Past Transactions. I'm not so much worried when I saw outstanding amount is already zerolized. biggrin.gif

I think we can BT >100% of CL is becos we have made payments to MBB cards.

may be  payments made from your other MBB cards you have not considered, MBVS, WMC etc?

my total BT amount have also exceeded my CL, i believe we can do this is becos of the monthly payments made.
*
Yes, I supposed every payment you make actually adds back to the CL. Just like normal installment plan.
So if BT monthly payment is huge, then can do more. laugh.gif

Hmm. No. I thought about that too, but all my MBB cards were all totally zero for the past 2 months. And I don't have any credit on those cards, because I refunded it out to CASA. For this 2nd BT I was experimenting how much I could push the limit so I purposely made sure everything was zero balance, and even waited a few days to cater for time lag.

Anyway, not important for me now because I achieved my aim of maximising the MBB BT promo. Now I just have super super super high monthly instalments to pay for 2 PBB BT,  2 MBB BT and 1 AEON BT. Can buy a cheap car every month haha.
*
That means you have managed to cash out a lot of excess fund which worth many cheap cars too. brows.gif

That also means your CL must be high else how to continue spending like normal on those cards on top of it, CL stuck for BT. sweat.gif

My CL for all my recent cards min 50k and a few above 200k. I hold 26 cards (including loads and loads of supps). But just to clarify that high CL does NOT mean super high salary or high spending. I have absolutely no idea how they calculate or what is their basis. For me, the majority of my spending is actually BT (to get CASA refund) or using online cashback cards to pay AEON via Pos Online (which is actually recycled spending, not "real" spending).

But my general observation is that once you hit 10k+ or 15k+ monthly, banks suddenly become much more generous and simply give credit limit like water. They don't seem to care whether the credit limit is more than your annual salary or not!!!
*
Yes, that's true. They don't care anymore of your salary and just splurge high CL to you. tongue.gif
No wonder you can do so much wonders with your cards.

Hi guys, for the MBB 0% BT for 12 months [https://www.maybank2u.com.my/WebBank/Maybank_Balance_Transfer_0_12mths_campaign.pdf]; as I tried to fill in via maybank2u website, I cannot find Aeon Credit Services, do u guys still use the hardcopy form in order transfer balance from Aeon cards to MBB?
*
Yes we fill in using the soft copy form and email to them. It is quite easy. smile.gif
voscar tried using Citibank via M2U but there is a drama here: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=82622881 laugh.gif

I think for Maybank if apply from email + form is the safest? As the form straight waives 3%? unsure.gif
My first installment hasn't posted on my statement yet so I can't see any details regarding my BT. I applied via email.

Yes, you won't get 3% charged at all.

Btw, one question, when I put Citibank as payee but I submit AEON statement, should't be an issue right?
*
Yeah. biggrin.gif
Should be OK but I shared voscar's encounter yesterday. He also chose Citibank for AEON.
