i suspect it's a system thing they are unsure/worried about.

eg.
1. now -10K in your Visa owed, +10K in your BT owed, & your CL usable is $20K
2. they "manually" take out from your Visa -10K
3. they "manually" put into your BT
The moment (2.) happens, to their system, U have now LESS 10K usable credit
UNTIL
they execute (3.)
Thus, if U suddenly spend $20K thinking U had the CL (as at (1.)), ngek.. koyak lor
ya ya - low probability but systems/process thinking, it's still a possibility so happens, ngam ngam some autodebits + U charge stuff

BTW, they told me the same thing AND WORSE coz i've several autodebits
.. and yes, maxed out nearly, went way past $49.9K accidentally
that's why i hate sudden changes/last minutes - my planned execution goes nuts
