Its ok, all hospital bills 100% claimable from husband's job, so its just a temporary cash flow issue even if the bills are high. Second child, so less stressed.

Yepp. Will earn points from paying with CC (still planning which card I should use to pay - most likely AEON), then 0% BT to PBB and pay over 6 months. But claim the cash from company (process in Jan / Feb payroll). Not too bad.

0% BT is really useful in these kind of situations!

Have you thought about applying for AEON cards? For me, I use PBB and AEON for BT.

AEON just a bit more troublesome for the following reasons:

1. Only once every 6 months, so you're a little restricted in timing and have to plan for big ticket items

2. Need statement (again, restricted in terms of timing, and doesn't work for those who want to BT more than statement amount)

However, AF is easily waivable and AEON is quite a nice card for miscellaneous spending.

Nowadays AEON's BT payment very fast using IBG... funds transferred on same date as approval SMS

But one payment to Alliance Bank seem to be very slow.... nothing till now

Has anyone done an AEON BT application recently (in December / January)?

I submitted my e-mail on 25 Jan (just before CNY) but have yet to receive any acknowledgement etc. Just wanted to check how long it normally takes.

I know that there are delays during CNY period, but its been 12 days already, so it seems quite slow. I tried calling CS today, but no one picked up after 3 calls. AND, when I emailed CS, I received an automated response saying: "The recipient's mailbox is full and can't accept messages now. Please try resending this message later, or contact the recipient directly".

Seems like everyone is still on holiday!!!!

HSBC always offer 0% even if u not new customer, all you need to do is request for cancellation card and reason for BT purpose only, then they will offer you 0%, 6 months, monthly repayment = total BT amount/6 months.

the condition is never swipe for anything else except BT due to interest charge. I have apply islamic and non-islamic which both have separate CL for BT purpose at 0% 6 months.

actually, someone reported once see the last installment of BT (example, 6th installment if take 6 months) posted to CC, u can apply another BT

Question: If apply new bt when 6/6 appear in unbilled, when stmt come out will carry both the old 6/6 and new 1/6 in the same stmt?
I guess it is all about cashflow timing. See when u hv the highest cc o/s from others cc.
I am in the same situation now.... not easy to layout both projection  senario (apply now or wait for next mth) with crisscrossed bt running.

My UOB BT seems to be approve already. I see they created a separate cc account for it. Am I right to assume that the they will generate a statement for this and i need to do the payment into this new account? after the 6 month BT term has ended they will just close this account?

Yeah, I think MBB is still better option unless fruitie doesn't have enough credit limit for MBB.. coz 18k / 12 mths vs 18k / 6 mths is so much different.

You have to call CS and they will arrange for them to clear inbox. It is quite ridiculous... I have done it before.
