it is recognized by LAN/MQA - meaning the course fulfills the minimum basic requirements to award a degree certificate to the graduates. it also means that the course is viable for PTPTN loans.

however, it has not received LAM part 1 professional accreditation.

it means, u can study there as it is a proper degree in education, but without professional accreditation u'll have a hard time applying/securing a good job until u've acquired ur part 1. u will also have a problem continuing to part 2 at accredited school, and they will require u to finish part 1 first before going for their part 2.

from what they've told me that after finishing their 3 yrs degree in LUCT, if u planning for part2 u will have to undergo a minimum 2 yrs M.Arc or B.Arc at any institution recognized by the government that meet part2..

lets say i finish my LUCT's degree course, and looking forward for an accredited school to continue part2 (which shown on the 1st page: path to become an architect) and planning to go oversea, if i apply for oversea Uni such as Melb... will it be that hard?

1.what is the differences between Bachelor of Applied Science in Architectural Science and Bachelor of Arts in Interior Architecture ?
One is more focus on exterior of the building whereas the other one is more focus on the interior structure.

2.which course allow me to complete Part 1 of the architectural qualification in Malaysia or equivalent to Part 1 of the architectural qualification? (is it recognized by the malaysia government? or accreditation?)
Our degree is equivalent to Part 1, thus can allowed you to continue for the Master in Archtectural in Curtin which is equivalent to Part 2.

3.Upon graduation, students will have to undergo a minimum 2 years for Bachelor of Architecture qualification at an institution offering the program that is equivalent to Part2. If im planning to study at Australia, which University or institution am i able to look into(such as Melb.U, Queesnland U, other than Curtin U?) or im qualified to study the 2 years for Bachelor of Architecture and is it accreditation by the Malaysia Government for PAM Part2?
You may proceed to Curtin for Master, however, if Curtin is not your choice, you are always recommended for Melbourne U. PAM is recognized Curtin Master. PLease refer to PAM for more infromation!

above are the information i got it from LUCT's daniel...
as you can see... i'm serious for going Part 2... therefore, if... i graduated from the Master degree(which completed part2).... do i still need to worry for job applying in Malaysia or OTHERS country?

here are my answers:
if u have any degree that is accredited/recognized as part 2 by LAM or RIBA, u wont have much of a problem applying jobs in msia or other countries. even LAM's part 2 is being recognized worldwide as equivalent to RIBA part 2, hence alot of malaysian graduates are working in the UK, ireland, hongkong and china to name a few.

what u should worry is whether LAM is gonna make a fuss over ur LKW's non-part 1 degree in the future. LAM has been known to tighten its grip to protect the profession. i cant predict the future, but even if they did tighten it, u can always sit for the part 1 exam anytime wink.gif.

thanks for the kindly information azarimy... this gonna make me dump all my energy to study it~~

but for some queries, what if they tighten up part 1 for LKW's non-part 1, but i've completed PART2 in cutrin u or melb u? do i still need to sit for the part1 exam, that shows i gone through the architect qualification process?

however, theres a big chances that, even i've completed my Master of Architectural at Australia, i would not be working in malaysia... if do not consider malaysia's LAM, do i still need to worry the LKW's non-part 1?

if u dont plan to come back and work in malaysia, then no, u shouldnt worry about ur LKW part 1 equiv at all.

in the case if u wanna come back, and LAM have tighten its regulations, then yes, u can only practice ur part2 from curtin after u've passed the part 1 exam.
*
which mean, even i've completed my part2 from curtin, i still have to pass the part 1 exam in msia, so that i can only get the qualification of PART2? hmm.gif

another questions wanna ask (extra question, it is ok if no answer for these questions)... is japan recognize those architectural course i'm taking? or is those PAM 1 and 2 recognized worldwide?

u might need to complete ur LAM part 1 in two conditions:

i. LAM decides to tighten the license and regulations;
ii. u decide to come back and work in malaysia after LAM did that.

other than that, it should be ok. LAM part 1 doesnt even matter anymore in australia, bcoz they always see the highest qualification. they always assume everyone went throught the right process until someone points otherwise. in msia, there have been so many people trying to cheat their way by doing diploma 3 years (non part1) and then straight to part 2. means only 5 years after SPM instead of 6. normal laa malaysian, as long as u dont get caught, u must try to cheat hahahaha. laugh.gif

i'm not sure if japan recognizes any other country's part 1 or 2, but they do recognize part 3.

thanks for the information again..

but this afternoon i've taken a look into PAM's website, it say Curtin U program's offered recognition level is I and II
http://www.pam.org.my/archprog_au.asp
where the degree program Bachelor of Applied Science in Architectural Science curtin U offered is the same as LKW's offered.

again with the "what if" i complete the PART1 degree at curtin U? such as 1+2 or even 3yrs at curtin U (part 1 degree program), where i take curtin's graduated certificate?

i'm curious about something... what is the different between taking a foundation that lead to an architectural degree and an architectural diploma lead to 1 or 2 years architectural degree?

which 1 more easier to study on? or to say, which one wouldnt be so rush for? which one do you prefer?
