sounds like only bad review about wm6 on P535. Any other updates on this? I was trying to update mine, but a bit warry after reading posts from this thread.
Added on August 30, 2007, 9:07 pmHey guys, I have recently purchased an ASUS P535. I've just noticed that it is really poor in picking up signal. When I use my old Sony Ericsson or Nokia 8310, I can get nearly full bar of signal, but when I switched to ASUS P535, the best I can get it 3bars, when signal is weaker, eg 3 bars on my nokia, my ASUS won't pick up any signal at all. I just want to know if mine is the only case or that's how it is with P535?
thanks

also, how do I get my Windows Vista to work with my ASUS P535? It only allows one option, "Sync media using Windows Media Player Devices", so how do I synch my device for outlook and how do I install new programs from my pc?

that's exactly what I get from asus, send it back for checking, so I take it as it is not supposed to be so poor in receiving signals then This post has been edited by right: Sep 1 2007, 11:53 AM

This is what ASUS says in their reply if that's what you need to know. CODE Dear Customer,
Thank you for contacting ASUS Customer Service. My name is Micky. It's a pleasure to help you with your problem. It will be very kind of you to mark this mail to show us your satisfaction so that we can improve our service quality with your kindly feedback. For you problem, we suggest you contact your retailer or send your P535 to our service center for signal test analysis. Our service engineer will help to test your P535 and feedback to you whether it is a normal phenomenon. Thank you for your letter. If any, please let me know. Best Regards, Micky
If what you want to know is what they say after the test, I guess it will be for a while, as my place is some distance away and I won't be heading that directly so soon. I'll only send it for testing when I am heading to that area, so, I'l just use my sony ericsson for normal phone use, and p535 for pda use "for now".

QUOTE(stimix @ Sep 10 2007, 09:41 AM) Why u need to downgrade when WM6 is giving a faster & stable operation ...& I dun think so u can do that...U probably fail to follow certain procedure which causes bugs in ur PPC...Probably u can reinstall WM6 by hard-reseting & reformating... I want to downgrade it to wm5 because I find that wm6 is extremely unstable on my unit. I've followed the instruction step by step and I've not missed anything for sure. From this thread, I can see I am not the only one having problems with wm6.
